You've been predicting multiple firsts, blue chip prospects and Drouin coming back to the Canucks this deadline.

Now you're insinuating we should be happy getting fuck all?

You're ridiculous dude, get some bi-polar Mëds.

How would you know? Do you spend a lot of time on the other 29 teams' sites, endlessly flip-flopping away like a shitstained wig-wam?

I can say from my own travels that Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, LA, Boston and Chicago all have far more emotional, illogical and venomous fan bases.

Sounds to me like you're the one with the soiled diapers this evening, my friend.

Can't even stand reading Canucks talk on any board/social media lately, endless vile/bile for everything the team does hah. :?

Yup IN I switched over to accepting these losses to get a better pick for the betterment of the team.

I'm pro trying to get better with youth, young guys, drafting/developing which JB/TL are intent on doing, much to the dismay of 80% of the haters.

Believe it or not, possessing more draft picks increases the odds of your picks being successful, Mr. "youth movement".

Some fans are a little disappointed that our so-called drafting genius of a manager doesn't seem to grasp this. Hopefully he'll do what he did last year, trade picks in the summer when they're at their lowest value and then overpay at the draft to get them back.

Not a chance. 6-7 at best. No idea where you think he an get a 4th.
Bartkowski
2-3. He does play defence and they are sought after on TDD
3-4. Doesn't matter what position he plays, he's unreliable. The playoffs are when teams least want to risk getting burned.
Higgins
3-7 depending upon if we retain.

Kenins
4-5, maybe exchange for a roster player or prospect at a similar point in development. Maybe Rychel from Columbus?
The highest I would count on for Higgins would be a 4th. Nobody wanted him earlier, can't see him being sought after now.

Ya, your guess is as good as mine. Point is i think we won't see much of anything for the sensational seven. If we get a couple of late round picks it will be a good day.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

All bedwetting aside

Honestly i'll take a conservative approach this deadline day.

Dump payroll, slice off the dead wood and peddle the yard sale.

Its a
recession out there, the best move to make for the Canucks this year is to conserve cash and save for a rainy day

The above just came out of a socialist's mouth...

With Gaunce and Rodin pencilled in, Etem, Granlund and Baertschi a lock, the Sedins x2, Horvat and Sutter locks, that's 9 spots pencilled in. Add Virtanen and McCann, 11 spots. Add Dorsett, Hansen and Burrows and viola! 14 forwards.

On D

Tanev
Larsen
Hutton
Edler
Sbisa
Biega
Pedan
Tyramakin

There's 8 D.

Without trading a couple of those players listed we have no roster spots for FA, unless we want the likes of Virtanen, McCann, Hutton, Tyramakin in Utica.
There's no way we go into next season with that roster, but it would be cool if we did.

That's a guaranteed last place finish right there.

The forward group is where we are at in the absence of more moves up front. The only flexibility is McCann and Virtanen who can play in Utica.
D is just speculation I'll give you that.

McCann will be in Utica next year. Elmer will sign a free agent forward.

dem leaves love themselves some canucks players.
Mike Penny still scouting for the Laughs. He must have incriminating photos of most GMs and owners past and present in the NHL to have lasted this long. I haven't forgotten his brilliant drafting of stalwarts like Libor Polasek, Dan Woodley, Brad Ference, Josh Holden, Michel Petit and other Canucks greats during his 18 year reign of error with Vancouver. This is a scout who couldn't find sand in the Mojave Desert. If Lou in TO listens to Penney's advice, the Canucks might find a sucker for their garbage. Big Tuna if you're reading this, Penny will be the reason the Laughs rebuild will never come to fruition.
