2015 Stanley Cup Finals

Post by Hockey Widow »

Chicago v Tampa. Tampa with home ice advantage but I doubt that matters this series.

Tampa just came off a game seven victory over Lundquist. Chicago made beating Anaheim in game seven look real easy.

Cheering for Anaheim; Hawks did what I wanted, eliminated Kesler. Now my heart is in it for Tampa to win as much as I want to see Chicago lose.

Tampa in 6.

Don't really mind either team - the Chicago teams that kicked our asses seems so long ago, and Tampa is a fast, young team. Both play great hockey, nothing negative.

If I had to I would probably choose Chicago as my winner, but who really knows. Hopefully it's a great series.

Hawks in 6 if not 5 . Most exciting team in the NHL and Toews and Keith are proving they are two of the top 5 players in the game . Too much high end depth for the Bolts to contend with

I would love for Tampa to beat the Hawks but that does not seem likely.

Bishop would need to stand on his head for one thing.

I will be cheering the Bolts.

Someone on the radio the other day mentioned that it should be illegal to have an NHL team within 600 miles of a palm tree. That being said I will cheer for Tampa to win.

Tampa in 6.

Bishop outplays Crawford; Chi can't stop Tampa PP.

Doesn't Chicago have to get a penalty for Tampa to get a power play? Just saying it is the Finals and it is Chicago!

Chicago in 6, although honestly, if they get decent goal tending I wouldn't be surprised if it was in 5 or 4.

I was going to say something about "on paper" and "that's why they play the games"

... and then I remembered to whom I am speaking.

Okie-dokie then, Chicago in 6...

Chicago has a big advantage of having a lot of players who have not only been to the finals but have won cups. For sure they will be tough to beat. But Tampa did beat Price and Lundquist. Crawford had a number of early meltdowns this year in round one, was better round two and better still round three, although he made made few game saving saves, he didn't need to.

All playoffs pundits have been waiting for Chicago's four man rotation on D, with a couple of add ons to kill a few minutes, to tire. I just think Tampa will have a field day with Chicago's defence and I think they will score on Crawford. The longer the series goes the more of an advantage to Tampa.

I don't underestimate Chicago's experience, or leadership or heart, or skill. I just think Tampa will do it. I'm prepared to be wrong and won't put money on it!

Just hope for a good series.

I think if they were going to wear out it would've happened last round. If I'm not mistaken I think they looked quicker as the series wore on.

Maybe trying to tire them out isn't such a wise strategy

Anaheim wore themselves out trying to hammer Keith all series. I think you have to accept he is too slimy bugger to try and hit. If Tampa can play a puck possession game, as much of it Chicago's zone as possible, that will be how you tire them.
