Weals comments about Virtanen are awesome. If you are getting under the opponents skin you are doing something right.
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.
I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

I always said life is like a box of chocolates, ha - I just didn't want to toot my own horn right off the bat, but I always said Jensen will be a late bloomer in the NHL, which is just a educated guess as there are not many Danes who made it to the big show, and those that did are pretty much 2-way players: Eller/Hansen/Nielsen.Hockey_God wrote:Interesting comments from L.A. Kings prospect Jordan Weal about Utica Comets' players he faced in the AHL finals:
Weal says Niklas Jensen was the most impressive player in the series.
He says Sven Baertschi was very dangerous on the power play with his playmaking skills but can be contained 5 on 5.
He also says Alex Friesen is very tenacious and does not play like his listed size of 5'10" and is a good forechecker with surprising offensive abilities.
In addition, he says players were not happy with 18 year old Jake Virtanen taking an extra step or two to unnecessarily run guys into the boards.
So perhaps we shouldn't write off Jensen just yet; Friesen may have a long shot at the # 4 centre spot if Vey disappoints and Cassels is not ready; Baertschi will stimulate our power play but may have trouble initiating offence at even strength; and Jake Virtanen will be the asshole we are all craving in our line-up.

So it is my pro armchair judgment that if Jensen is to make the NHL, he's going to have to improve his two-way game a bit more (yes, obviously), but he already has the size and skill! imo already.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Mëds, damonberryman and I saw this potential several months ago. It looks like we have a second line that can score!griz wrote:That line could be killer.Virtanen - Horvat - Baertschi

LOL that post was 8 months ago, in response to your "nothing but weinies in the top-6 next season" comment.Blob Mckenzie wrote:Ouch .Strangelove wrote:

At least I placed Horvat in the right spot... unlike yourself Mr McBlob.
Unpredictable things such as trades (Sutter) + Vrbata (it's gonna happen) and rehab (Kassian)
... are all covered by the smiley.
= sarcasm.

Unless a miracle happens, Canucks will draft Top 5 next year.
This team might just suck so much next season that both these clowns are punted.Blob Mckenzie wrote: This team needs some high picks and some elite talent . They will hopefully good right around the time Jim Benning and Willie Desjardins are shown the door . Right around the time Sbisa's contract ends .
And NO, Spidey did NOT hack my account.
These guys are patting themselves on the back for the Canucks turnaround.
They think their poo smells... "real good".
What really happened is a bounce-back season spurred by some very proud players.
WD + JB are holding back Bo, running down Vrbata, and praising Sbisa.
GONG SHOW

You were responding to my post and mostly agreeing with my concerns with the Canucks front office . Now you claim it was a smokescreen .
