Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

Buff punches Perry in the back of the head after Perry scores.
Buff only assessed a 2 minute penalty, wonder if he will get more from the league.

BS move, but I had to laugh at Perry's reaction.Reefer2 wrote:Buff punches Perry in the back of the head after Perry scores.

I thought that was such a bullshit cheap move. Until I saw it was Perry who got punched. Then I laughed.Reefer2 wrote:Buff punches Perry in the back of the head after Perry scores.

*LOL* What Blobby Mac thinks. What all-star D-man PK Subban thinks:Blob Mckenzie wrote:Yes it's the fourth line that is so instrumental in this teams fortunes .
"That's what wins you hockey games in the playoffs. We often talk about the star, so called star players on the team stepping up and making a differnce, but if you look at all the Stanley Cup champion teams over the past couple years, they all got guys on the 3rd and 4th line that contributed at some point and scored some big goals or created big goals. You watch the NHL every night, it's the guys you least expect to score the big goals that do it."

Ferland is a nice story, apparantly he was battling some demons last year, but went into rehab and got his life and NHL career on the right track. I also heard that Ferland's mother gave him the green light to hit anyone on the Canucks, with the exception of the Sedins. Guess she's a Sedins fan.Blob Mckenzie wrote:Would rather have a Ferland clone than Weise . The whole makeup of the forward lines need to change . A scrub like Weise isn't going to make much difference .
Anyways, I'll be nice and agree with u on this one, a guy like Ferland would be great; however, these guys don't exactly grow on trees and can be tuff to find. I don't care who it is, just want to see some more gritty guys who are excellent depth players in the lineup, don't care whether it be Lap-Dawg (Max Lappierre), Raffi Torres, Tommy Sestito or the 4th liner who has a knack for scoring big goals in the playoffs, the Dutch Gretzky, Dale Weise.

More grit

It's like an 80's ad campaign. Sure, show some grit, but they've got to play their game. Calgary's playing this way because it's their best shot at beating the Canucks. All Vancouver has to do is play their own game at sustained playoff-level intensity. I liked Crosby's quote yesterday that every game counts and every game needs that desperation-level effort.

No way Virtanen makes the team next season after his performance this year. Baertschi will probably be there because I think he has to clear waivers. Gaunce I could see making it if Richardson walks, but that's about it as far as forwards go.RoyalDude wrote:Gotta give Virtanen a spot next season, with his speed, size, grit and hits, he is exactly what we need right now, same with Cassels, he's full of piss and vinegar too. Get back to Curt Fraser, Stan Smyl hockey for fuck sakes
And Richardson should walk, he's a useful player but we gotta get bigger.

Crosby obviously doesn't understand that the key to winning in the playoffs this year lies in being well-rested. I'm sure he and the Malkinator will be cool with 16 minutes a night.Puck wrote: I liked Crosby's quote yesterday that every game counts and every game needs that desperation-level effort.

Baertschi makes it, he can't play in the minors and he's cheap which is needed. Gaunce who knows, he's always going to be a 3rd or 4th liner but he's good both ways and big, so I could see him on the team.Rumsfeld wrote:No way Virtanen makes the team next season after his performance this year. Virtanen I have no idea - been watching almost all his latest games and he's easily the most skilled and best player on the ice when he wants to be. It's not close - he's big, faster than anybody else, hits like a truck, has a shot as hard as anybody in the league and can stick handle in a phone booth, but he plays when he wants to. It's almost like he's bored, then gets the puck and drives the net to get a good chance. He also plays less than just about any top player I've ever watched in junior. He's physically ready, but I'm not sure he's mentally there yet. He seems like the type who might need some tough love in the minors to knock him down a peg or two and learn the 200 foot game - either that or stick him with Bo to cover his back check and let him do nothing but score.
Re: Round One 2015 Playoffs
I don't give a shit who wins - but either a Cap or an Islander better fucking score soon!
