Well looking at Euro comparable's in height/weight.

John Klingberg 6'2 180 lbs
Oscar Klefbom 6'3 215 lbs
Hampus Lindholm 6'3 205 lbs
Adam Larsson 6'3 205 lbs
Olli Maatta 6'2 206 lbs

So lets hope Olli Juolevi at 6'2 182 lbs can go from 182 to 200 clean over the summer. Say if he add's 1 pound a week or 1.5 pounds of clean muscle a week thats 4-6 pounds a month, it's doable that he could be a solid 200 - 205 heading into late September to October.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

The following are among the top 15 scoring d-man:

Erik Karlsson 6' 192 lbs
Duncan Keith 6'1" 192 lbs
K. Shattenkirk 6' 202 lbs
Torey Krug 5'9" 186lbs
Justin Schultz 6'2" 193lbs
John Klingberg 6'2" 180 lbs
Drew Doughty 6'1" 195lbs

Given his keen on-ice awareness and excellent mobility, I think Olli will be just fine.

The point of offence from defence is a valid one however. The D does look more promising now than it did 365 days ago, but as has been the case for the past two decades, Stanley Cup teams have a stud on the blueline. For the most part, those studs were drafted by their own clubs.

If you can't draft one, than you put yourself in the best position to acquire one. That's what good GM's do.

True, it's why I'm glad we picked Juolevi as he has the temperament/skill/height/IQ level of being a big minute top pairing dman who knows how to win championships as he can take his game to another level in such pressure situations.

As an aside remember my awesome scouting report of a one Dmitry Osipov? he's a big defensive dman and one of the longest euro players played on the Giants.

The Utica Comets should consider signing this guy for cheap.
But he has become a mainstay in Vancouver’s own zone. He blocks shots, he clears the slot, he plays physical in the high-traffic areas.

“You know what you’re going to get every day,” Giants coach Jason McKee said of Osipov. “You know he’s going to work hard. You know he’s going to be a good teammate. Those are important things.”
