As when the noise of Doan to Vancouver was ringing in the halls, I'm am very happy we didn't sign that old man to a four year deal and have yet another veteran contract stuffing the cap.
We got the biter signed to a four year deal instead . I'm not sure which is worse .
Yet another deal I was against.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

The "noise of Doan to Vancouver" was in the summer of 2012.

Noise was.... 2 yr deal... 3 yr max.

I believe you were on board with a 2-year deal for Doan there Topper.

And, why not, it would have been a coup for your Vancouver Canucks.

Canucks re-signed Burrows on September 14 of that same year after missing out on Doan.

I doubt they would have re-signed Burrows if they had gotten Doan.

(is that what you were getting at Blob?)

Anyway, Burrows is our best 2-way forward right now, so that contract doesn't really sting... (much).

Yeah, most of us were hoping for about $3.5M per on the Burr deal...
____
Try to focus on someday.

Instead of 4 years for $18M they should have pushed for 5 years at $19M. Cap hit of $3.8M. He may have gone for it.
