Vegas is absolutely the type of city that will tank during tough economic times. All they have are casinos and tourists, both of which suffer during an economic downturn. As cities go, they offer nothing else. sure during good times they could fill an arena with comp tickets but what about developing a fan base? Can't see it. But if the franchise fees are right the owners will grab the dough. If Vegas becomes a loss leader then that acts to suppress the cap.

If they are going to open up other markets the prudent thing to do would be to stop the bleeding in existing markets first, by re-locating them. But the draw for this is the franchise fees. Greed.

The Nords should never have left, great rivalry - the real kind...not the play your own division rivals 8x fake kind.

I think Vegas getting a team could be brilliant, I don't think they'll tank. As a Seattle native I'm happy Seattle will get an expansion team and not someone else's damaged goods. I want to build our own traditions and not have to sit through the Panthers or Coyotes for a couple years until the team morphs into our own.

Incorrect spelling. It's leaves. "Leaves" is not correct.

Actually in these parts it's "Leaves".

It's a shortened form of "leavings" (with a capital L!).

Your cooperation in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Move Arizona to Portland, give Seattle and Toronto expansion teams and move Florida to Quebec City. That should make a lot of people happy.

Toronto not so much methinks...

Canada should boycott the Quebec franchise. Paladeau will own it.

Vegas would be a great addition to the league . As for the Nordiques they were losing money by the tens of millions . The building was falling apart . Why exactly shouldn't they have moved the team ? Wake up for Christ sakes.
