Well to be fair he left last year for $3.5M.....but yeah, I'd say he wanted out.

Yeah gotta say, Edler should’ve retired a Canuck. Like Tanev and Markstrom he was glue in the room.

^ Murray dislodged the net 3 times today versus the Wild and got away with it each time.
The other day the refs waved off 3 Devs goals in their game versus the Leaves:

(the 3rd goal waved was clearly kicked in)
In both games, the Leaves won by just a single goal.
Oh Hockey Gods, we implore you!

Looks like the leaves may have found themselves a free player in Conor Timmins.

Free?Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Sun Dec 11, 2022 8:05 am Looks like the leaves may have found themselves a free player in Conor Timmins.
They gave up 22-yr-old 6'9 245lb centre Curtis Douglas in that trade.
Now I don't know, but leafers who watch the Marlies hated that trade.
Timmins missed the entire 2018-19 season due to a major concussion
... and almost all of 2021-22 after blowing out his knee.
He's basically an injury-prone 24-yr-old AHLer who has found his way into just 44 NHL games.
44 games with protected minutes.
So in summary, not free and not much of a player...

He was a great junior player that was derailed by concussions. They gave up a Kellan Lain type prospect. I’d definitely take a flyer on him at that price. In his first three games he’s apparently been steady.

Anyone who misses an entire year to a concussion is a prime candidate for further concussions.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Sun Dec 11, 2022 2:00 pm He was a great junior player that was derailed by concussions.
We all know this.
And he has played in just 5 NHL games over the last 14 months.
Injury prone.
Why, because they're the same size?
Those Marlie-watchers to whom I referred swear Curtis Douglas will have a solid NHL career as a bottom 6 forward...
Not me, I'd much rather take a flyer on Curtis Douglas.
Yeah, he's played a "steady" protected 14.5 minutes per game.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Sun Dec 11, 2022 2:00 pm In his first three games he’s apparently been steady.
Timmons will land on waivers as soon as Leaves get a defenseman or 2 back from injury.
(all 4 of their injured defensemen are considered better than Timmons by the Leaves)
Unless of course he ends up on LTIR (again) first...

I guess we will see. Douglas is tearing up the AHL this year with one assist in 16 games

Well if he makes the NHL it'll be as a large nasty bottom-6 defensive forward.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Sun Dec 11, 2022 3:06 pm I guess we will see. Douglas is tearing up the AHL this year with one assist in 16 games
Also, 22 years old just into his second full season in the AHL (half-point-per-game last year).
Not much maybe, but better than Conor 'Glassman' Timmins...
