Can't see it with Ladd or Lucic either .

Why would a guy want to play here with the media glare , the state of the team or the weather . No thanks would be my answer .
If a player wants to play in Canada the only places where the media glare is more favourable are Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, and Winnipeg. The weather in all 4 of those places sucks, and the cities are the least desirable major Canadian cities to live in.

Montreal and Toronto have the same media as Vancouver, the weather there might be nicer in the summer and fall, but sucks in the winter. So really who gives a shit, in the summer you are a millionaire NHL player who can live wherever the hell you want.

The state of the team is hilarious. Montreal has a decent squad, but they are coming apart at the seams right now without their goalie. Toronto is as much in the toilet as we are. Do I even need to tell you how awesome the other teams are?

Edmonton is the only team with a roster that should indicate a bright future.....and they aren't signing any marquis names to long term deals at the centre position as they will be paying McDavid top dollar in 3 years.

Trade Talk: leaves could target Tavares down the line

Patience, leaves fans

All the talk leading up to the Trade Deadline in Toronto has centred around the Maple leaves' chances of landing pending unrestricted free agent Steven Stamkos.

But for a number of reasons, mainly that Stamkos likely isn't willing to go through another rebuild during his prime years, and signing Stamkos would put a wrench in Brendan Shanahan's plans for a proper rebuild, Larry Brooks of the New York Post doesn't see Stamkos landing in Toronto.

But that doesn't mean the leaves won't soon be without a superstar free agent, it's just going to take a little more patience.

Brooks speculates New York Islanders star John Tavares, who could be frustrated with the situation in Brooklyn, could sign with the leaves in 2018 when his contract is up. It's still a ways away and a lot can change, but the Mississauga native would be as big a coup to leaves fans as Stamkos.

Yeah, nothing is ever going to change in Leavesland....
By "Leavesland" you mean New Yorker and Rangers fan, Larry Brooks?

Yeah we all know who Larry Brooks is, thanks.

Which is why I led with:

"TSN usually couldn't care less about what Brooksie has to say

... but here's their lead story today
"

:scowl:

TSN is most definitely "Leavesland".

I wish the Leaves had signed Dorsett and Sbisa to the contracts Canuck fans currently enjoy.

Fuck, there'd be pages and pages of this shit...

This reminds me, Leaves gave Clarkson a $36.75M contract.

Sbisa $10.8M + Dorsett $10.6M = $21.4M

Leaves have fucked up a hundred times worse than your Vancouver Canucks over the years...

The sad part is this post and the recent pauser post are the best posts at this place in the last week .

Run for cover the orange oranguatans will round your ass up for speaking against King Elmer Benning . Look here they come now on their horses with their guns . The humans did this .

The ape crew would have you believe that making the playoffs as an 8 seed ,getting raped in 4 games and getting a shitty draft pick would be a good thing for the franchise . They will probably blame the refs and cbc for the Canucks getting bitchslapped and out shot 45-20 tonight because hey everyone hates Vancouver .
Shit Blob. Ees a foocking game mon. Let it go and in a couple of years, if you are right, well, you can be right while we all feel like shit because Elmer and Trev fucked the team. I do not think that is likely but no one here can define the future accurately. No one. The only sure thing is the leaves will suck.

I see a lot of Leafers out there following The Cock's lead and jumping all over pussies Nylander + Kapanen.

Excellent... over-the-moon expectations + pressure from the rabid fan-base will destroy these two weenies.

Three NHL games in... and they're already falling apart.

Wait until the Leafers find out they're not getting either of Stamkos/Matthews. :mex:

The inevitable fireworks --> implosion in Leafland is going to be a thing of beauty indeed.

And Nylander loos great. Don't judge prospects after 5 games.
And it's a lock Stamkos is coming home.
