Hey! NILander breaks out of his slump with an assist... in another Leaves loss. Sweet homecoming for Matthews.

NILander - 20 games - 1 goal 3 assists

Blobbee vouches for this guy and the contract he come with!
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

Leaves are 3-7 in the last 10 games

... but Tunes would tell you they''re the best team in the league because one of the wins was against Tampa.

But seriously, I was reading on a Leaves board today, they are melting down big time!

If this keeps up, public jersey-burning is just around the corner...

Ohhh this is beautiful, leaves only have a 2 point cushion on the 12nd wild card spot.

Buffalo is within striking distance now, if they make up 6 points, they're in and Toronto is out.

Who goes first, Dubas or Babcock?

We're almost at the point in the season where fancy stats may be considered moderately relevant. Gotta be dubbie's time to shine shit.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Leaves were 20-8 without Nylander.

Leaves are 9-9-2 with Nylander.

Love it!
Where do you guys get this stuff? Not a single person on TSN or Sportnet picked the leaves to win anything.

Well TSN did put the hype into hyperdrive when the Leaves were ranked the Cup favorites by bodog early this season:

https://www.tsn.ca/bodog-maple-leaves-st ... -1.1129077
https://www.tsn.ca/leaves-have-top-odds- ... -1.1185051
https://www.tsn.ca/matthews-leaves-happy ... s-1.891341
https://www.tsn.ca/leaves-remain-cup-fav ... -1.1202425
https://www.tsn.ca/channelling-astros-v ... s-1.904231

And you'll notice TSN reporters asked many Leaf players for their thoughts on that (so Dude makes a good point).

Other teams have been ranked #1 faves by bodog with nary a mention by TSN.

Not gunna look up Sportsnet, because the two are peas in a pod and I think I've made my point...

My feeling is you did look it up and found this and don't want to admit it:

https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/spo ... 19-season/

16 Sportsnet analysts, 0 picked Toronto to win the cup (Or any award) 9 picked Winnipeg.

Stanley Cup Winner
John Shannon: San Jose
Elliotte Friedman: Winnipeg
Jeff Marek: Winnipeg
Chris Johnston: Winnipeg
Mark Spector: Winnipeg
Iain MacIntyre: San Jose
Gord Stellick: San Jose
Eric Francis: Tampa Bay
Caroline Cameron: Winnipeg
Kristina Rutherford: Winnipeg
Luke Fox: Tampa Bay
Eric Engels: Tampa Bay
Rory Boylen: Winnipeg
Nick Kypreos: St. Louis
David Amber: Winnipeg
Damien Cox: Winnipeg

And you'll notice those TSN links are about Stanley cup betting odds. It's not actual TSN cup picks at all like the link I have given you from Sportsnet.

You've posted links from TSN about Stanley cup odds in betting... That's not what we are talking about. And those organizations aren't affiliated with TSN. They are only reporting it. How does that make TSN picking Toronto to win the cup?
Did Bob Mackenzie, Ferraro, O'Neil, Poulin pick the leaves? No they did not.

I watch a lot of Leaves games...

... he's cute.
:wow:

After last year he was .73 but lets nit pick leafylover6969

Also he looked damn good (no not in a leafylover6969 gay kind of look good) during Matthews absence
.73 is actually better than Pastyrnak or Draisaitl before they signed their deals FYI.
He looked great against Washington

Nylander for Gudbranson. Buy low time
Would you pay Nylander more dough than Pastrnak?
He's not getting paid more. The cap went up 5 million.
