That's a real possibility. Since Tanev will likely have an AAV likely over 4M when his new contract is signed and the scuttlebutt is that he's not going to give the Canucks' any sort of home team discount given his previous contract negotiations with the club. The guy went to RIT so he's played at the state of New York.Strangelove wrote:Tanev would have to be part of the package going the other way imesho.
Too bad my ole pal GM is gone, the guy is in love with Myers.
Do you want the Canucks to pursue Tyler Myers in a trade?

A sock, by any other name, is still a sock.
Kinda poetic, isn't it?

Less Canucks embarrassment please.

Yeah ... the Canucks' seem to have a "model" or "blueprint" they are following. More meat and potatoes. Although, Myers could probably put on some more meat on his bones as he enters his prime.Jovocop wrote:I would rather keep Edler and add Myers. That would give the Canucks some size to play against the big forwards in the West.Todd Bersnoozi wrote:I wouldn't mind getting our own version of Big Z. What about Edler for Myers? Both could use a change in scenery.

I would like to see Myers given an opportunity, I think there is more from him available.
I would offer Burrows and Tanev for him.

Go for it. Myers is the next Chara imo.

Why don't you ask Farhan? Not sure if said individual could still log on.Island Nucklehead wrote:Hey Farhan, do you want the Canucks to pursue Tyler Myers in a trade?Betamax wrote:Do you also wonder how Art Vandelay feels about this?Blob Mckenzie wrote:Gee I wonder how Connor McHindu feels ?
Anyway, what's your take on this situation? Should the Canucks go BIG with Myers or not?

Now this is an interesting post by SKYO:Betamax wrote: In a previous post, I speculated maybe the 2015 1st round pick (that would be a huge leap of faith that the Canucks' aren't going to be in the lottery if you are GMJB) or a roster player like Tanev.
If in fact the Canucks are going "hardcore" on Iggy, it means they have a serious plan in place to make the Playoffs next season.SKYO wrote:Looks like the Canucks are going after Iginla hardcore...

Boston probably want's to keep him but they are close to the cap.
So, yeah ... then I would be OK, if GMJB took the risk and offered their 2015 1st rounder as part of a package for Myers.

So, if they think Miller's time is to be in Vancouver, that clearly is a sign that there won't be any tanking going on next season.Jay Durant Verified account @GlobalDurant

Miller and Myers together again?
At the draft, the talk was that Canucks Scouting department really liked their M&Ms.
Interesting that.

Hey Lotan Baba, it would be something to get ex-Sabres Erhoff, Myers and Miller. Your thoughts
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau
Re: Do you want the Canucks to pursue Tyler Myers in a trade
LOL ... The "Sabres Model." Who says the Canucks' aren't tanking next season? Well, I think M&M would be okay, if the goal is to make it to the Playoffs. But three's a crowd, so no to the 'hoff.RoyalDude wrote:Hey Lotan Baba, it would be something to get ex-Sabres Erhoff, Myers and Miller. Your thoughts

I'm not that keen on moving a Tanev in a Myers package but the Canucks' don't exactly have that many roster players that would be desirable to the Sabres. He's one of the few. Maybe a Hansen or Higgins. Even though the Sabres are going to tank it, they still need to get to the cap floor and need AAV coming back there way.Iain MacIntyre @imacVanSun
Canucks/Tanev is challenging negotiation. Player's value not reflected by main stats, so don't expect arbitration to settle it.
