Doug Wilson and Todd McLelland might be available soon?

Doug Wilson I like, what's McLellan ever won? Reminds me of Crawford w/ all his great reg seasons & playoff chokes. No thanks, rather have Trotz.

Yeah if McLellan can't get that San Jose roster out of the first round, not sure how much luck he'll have with the Canucks weak forward core.ClamRussel wrote:Doug Wilson I like, what's McLellan ever won? I like TM's style of play and candor better than Trotz, but both are great coaches - would be happy with either.ClamRussel wrote:Doug Wilson I like, what's McLellan ever won? Reminds me of Crawford w/ all his great reg seasons & playoff chokes. No thanks, rather have Trotz.

You want this guy to be the next Nucks GM?ClamRussel wrote:Doug Wilson I like, what's McLellan ever won? Reminds me of Crawford w/ all his great reg seasons & playoff chokes. No thanks, rather have Trotz.
He's had the reigns in San Jose for over 10 years, so I wouldn't be surprised if they thought it was time for a change (McLellan is done for sure).

Re: Torts
The Wilson fro was rad!
What impresses me w/ Trotz is how he handles his players and how much he always got w/ so little. Who knows, maybe Weber would want to follow him here.

Kelcey Brade @ctv_kelcey
#Canucks will fire John Tortorella tomorrow w 4yrs lft on 5yr deal. His payout is believed to be $1.6M.
Also, GMMG's buyout was rumoured to be only half of the $8mil remaining on his deal.
Seems those Aquilinis prepare for everything.
Okay CBC, Torts is available for the After 40 panel, place him between PJ and Healy please.
Is it still called After 40?

But not really.
Lessee... scapegoating David Booth, pushing to buy out the Nuck's heart and soul game 7 OT Hawk killer number #14 in your program, number #1 in your heart (especially Blobby's) and forcing the trade of our best goalie ever....
I think it's safe to say that Torts lost the dressing room in the last quarter of the season. You could even see it in our play. The boys played an urgent first period and fucked the dog for the 2nd and 3rd.
What IS shocking is how disconnected Torts is from reality. His ego is so large that even to the end, he firmly believed that he was in the right... to the detriment of his own job. He made zero friends in the locker room (aside maybe the Sedins... borderline) and zero friends in the local market (the Winter Classic fiasco was the last straw).
Even Iron Mike lasted more than 1 season here in Vancouver.
The 2013/14 Nuck season was indeed a dark dark season....

This story is almost as stale as the Nucks core.

Re: Torts
It's a shame Torts didn't get to wear the GM hat for a year or two . He got rid of the millstone called Luongo . He would have bought out the biter and forced a few other slugs out of town . Kinda like Iron Mike who did the dirty work everyone else was too gutless to do .
