Analytics Modern Thinker trades the 10th overall pick to Buffalo for:

“Kassian. We see him as the answer to Lucic”

“Gragnani. We see him as the next Ehrhoff”

Could’ve saved the trouble if Analytics had drafted Myers or Karlsson instead of half legs.
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

Gladly.

Toss-up between Ballard and Gudbranson for worst trade. Lots of picks going out the door on Benning's side of the ledger.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Marner needs $11M ish on top of Tavares 11M, Matthews 11.6M, Nylander 6.96M, Marleau 6.25M
Is exactly why I'd want one elite dman making that 11M to
spread the money properly....looking to the 2021 era.

Petey 12Mish, Boeser 7Mish
Hughes (bridge), EK 11M

What happens to BlueJackets Zach Werenski & Provorov RFA contracts is a good indicator of what could happen with Quinn Hughes.

Examples of younger dmen getting paid early (recently):
1st overall 23yrs Ekblad is the only young dman to get hella paid after ELC at $7.5M per long term.

AZ also took a gamble on their dman 21yrs Chychrun paying him 4.6M per x 6.

22yrs Hanifin got 4.95M

Dumba got 2yrs bridge then his big payday of $6M per.

And all the top tier dmen in the league took awhile to get paid big time, so I'm saying I'm not too worried about Hughes getting a mega pay day in 2021, they'll likely bridge him for some years.

We draft another bluechipper dman this yr, then we got affordable quality dmen to bring in these next 7yrs under Hughes+Karlsson.

Juolevi, Woo, (2019 dman), Rafferty, RATHBONE!, Eliot, Brisebois, Chatfield, Utunen.

Along with some cheap UFA vet dmen to help along the way.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Thank God Jimmy came in to draft Gaudette with that pick!

(we all know Gillis would have fucked it up)

But why are we still talking about that schlep Gillis...

But if Gillis doesn’t acquire the pick, Benning likely still chooses Carl Neil which is who he picked with his own pick a few spots before

I guess Gaudette isn’t a Canucks pick similar to McCann, Gadjovich and Horvat in his coked up world

A first round pick
A former first round pick (Grabner)
A 2nd round pick
A 3rd round pick

For Ballard

Yeah a real toss up there
