Kadri facing league discipline after his head shot in the Edmonton game.

http://youtu.be/BzEg8TsZwgQ

Good elbow to the head. Get a load of the commentators; he didn't mean to do it, was just trying to squeeze through player and boards, elbow tucked in, accidental, Kadri apologizes to an unconscious player. Poor Kadri, it was an accident, really.

Looked to me like a pretty good follow through with an elbow on a vulnerable player. Leaves will probably advocate for ten games.

Jeez H-dubs, such venom. :eh:

I hope you go easier on the Canucks when you inevitably turn your cloak on them -- like you have your once-beloved leaves.

I wish the Sedins occasionally had the kind of bitch-ass nasty streak Kadri has. He's the only Leaf that gave a fuck last night.

So tonight most likely the leaves will be mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.
the slow death.
@mirtle

The leaves will be mathematically eliminated from the playoffs if Boston gains a single point tonight. Against Buffalo.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Phil Kessel is presently 852nd (AKA dead last) in the league in +/- (-35).

Phil Kessel has 13 points (33 games) in 2015 = 214th in NHL scoring in this calendar year.

Phil Kessel avoids all physical contact and does not backcheck.

Phil Kessel is in the first year of an 8-year $64M contract (taking him to age 34).

The Toronto Maple Leaves must trade Phil Kessel this summer.

If TO retains $2M Kessel may be worth $6M on a better team and he can float all he wants but still score 30+ goals.

Like Luongo you wont get a lot for him.

Rumour has it that the NHL is in favour of triggering the 5% escalator next year.

Could it be that the league is doing the leaves a favour by ensuring a higher cap, and thus making it easier to unload that contract?

The league is in favour but the PA is not. For them it just guarantees higher escrow. But ya, it would help out a number of GMs in cap trouble.

Can the entertainment get any better?

Can Kessel dig himself a deep hole?

After embarrassing loss to Sharks, Horacheck on ice prior to practice reams the vets for their lack of leadership and effort. Kessel post practice says coach is lost if he thinks players are not trying their hardest.........and adds, the Sharks are a better and harder working team.

Meanwhile role players who are trying are complaining publicly about their lack of icetime.......

One of the talking heads was saying it's not surprising the Laughs are so putrid. They have "star" players that clearly don't give a fuck because they see ownership rebuilding. They have a coach that will 100% not be back next year. And they have depth player call ups (thanks to trades for futures) that are not NHL players. That is a recipe for a terrible hockey team.

The leaves should be given the "tanker of the year" award.

Hopefully they will fuck up their decent prospects like the Coilers have.
