https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/bieksa- ... nting-trip
Discussing the incident on Saturday’s Hockey Night in Canada panel, Bieksa recounted an incident with former Vancouver teammate David Booth where the latter was missing a Canucks meeting for er, an interesting resason.

“One meeting that we had in Buffalo, [Booth] wasn’t there. So we’re calling him, and we were like ‘Boother, we’re having a meeting now, where are you?'” Bieksa told the rest of the panel.

“He goes, ‘I’m in Ohio, hunting white tail deer’,” Bieksa recounted. “He was in Ohio, he was a state over, and he was in a tree, hunting deer. Just a bizarre guy. Punctuality was not his priority.”

One geographical correction for Bieksa: Ohio isn’t actually a state over from Buffalo: it’s two, while also having to pass through Pennsylvania to make it there.
As I recall, my old pal the Dude LOVED him some Boother. :mex:

Cornuck wrote: Wed Mar 29, 2023 9:06 am Just checking in on Bo. He has 1 goal in March (11 games so far, one to go).

He must be loving life out on the east coast.

Edit: This guy on the Isles HF gets it:
Horvat is a very good player. I know he's in a scoring drought. But he is shooting a 5.6% since coming to the Isles, and 4.5% since Barzal got injured. He was at 20% on the Canucks, which was unsustainable. Horvat is an above average shooter throughout his career and should be at around 12-13%. The biggest issue I see with Horvat is an inability to create for himself. 8.5 x 8 is a lot for a player who is so dependent on a playmaker. From what I've seen thus far, he seems like a below average passer for a top 6 forward. His main assets are speed, finding soft spots, deflections, above average shot, and face-offs.
Did you come across anyone complaining about his VO2Max? :)
He, like Miller and Pettersson, is leading his teams forwards in ice time by a large margin.

Lets see what Beau does without Pettersson as his centre?
Doesn't matter what Beau did / does, it was a worthwhile deal just for Hronek.
