Bizarre, both teams had extreme hot streaks, over 100 pt seasons & both fell short of the Conference final w/ an OT loss. The Moose went up 2-0 and held that lead going into the 3rd but just couldn't put the game away (sound familiar?). It will be nice to have Schnieder between the pipes for a couple of years....sounds like Price was just too much for Manitoba's offence and won the series.
Here's a shot of Reid beating Price w/ a PP slapper from the point....
...could it be his last goal for the organization?
With young guns like Bourdon, Raymond & Grabner coming up next year there will be some decisions to be made as the Moose had alot of veteren experience this year w/ the likes of Goren, Flaherty, Moran, Tremblay & Keane on the team. Will Jaffray get that contract after all?
All in all it was a good season.....in fact it was a *great* season considering all the talk that Nonis' cupboard was bare. I think the team showed they have much more to offer than what was expected....but then again, so too did the parent club.
The Moose Go as the Canucks Go...or so it seems.
