So we agree then? :)

It wasn't the worst hit ever, but it was worthy of a suspension.

I guess we do! I think the 10-game thing is kind of the headshot standard in the OHL these days, is it not?

I'm okay with the OHL being tough on headshots, but I'm also okay with Cassels playing with a bit of a mean streak. If we want him to play that kind of style, we're going to have to accept that sometimes he'll cross the line.

I guess I'm okay all around, in this case

I'm OK with the junior leagues taking a tough stance as well.

Thing is, you don't want your players developing bad reps like Kassian and Burrows, so best to clean up some of this line crossing behavior before it becomes an issue.

@Sarah_Hobday, the KWings Insiderrr has given us the latest scouting reports from Canucks prospects:
Fox has seen big improvement in his speed since training camp. Valk showed great character to fight a 6’4” guy who leveled Fox. Blomstrand has been putting up more shot attempts and been heavily used on the powerplay. The Valk/Fox/Blomstrand line has been by far the best line for Kzoo with the amount of shots and scoring chances. They read each other really well.

Cassels survives the latest rounds of Team USA cuts. The Americans still have a couple forwards to cut, there are 15 still in camp.

Notably cut today was Michael McCarron (Montreal Canadians 2013 25th overall pick, 6'5 230lbs)

I thought the Americans made all their cuts?

Really hoping Cole makes the grade I think he is a guaranteed NHL'er

I rate our prospects on making the NHL full time like this

1. Horvat (already there)
2. Virtanen
3. Markstrom
4. Cassels
5. McCann
6. Demko
7. Corrado
8. Gaunce
9. Jensen
10. Shinkaruk (size and junior A game may not be suitable for todays game)

The Canuck's 5th round pick in the 2014 draft is looking good at the WJC tournament.

Defenseman Gustav Forsling scored twice in Sweden's 3-2 win over the Russians yesterday.

Thomas Gradin:
Forsling is like a left-sided Sami Salo the way he shoots the puck
- Another Canuck pick worth watching in the WJC tournament, along with Virtanen & Demko.
Less Canucks embarrassment please.

4 points (2G & 2A) in three games for Forsling.

Good work Chief
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

McCann is on fire right now 1 goal and 4 assists last night, 1st star and 2 goals in previous game. 3rd star. 17 points in last 10 games

Really like the fact that both McCann and Virtanen are excellent skaters with excellent shots and play with an edge.

Gonna have a good chance at playing that LA Kings style. Won't be the prettiest, or most consistent regular season performances, but come playoff time it's the most grinding and effective in a best-of-7.

Something we are kind of lacking up front is forwards with speed who have wicked shots. They will be welcome additions
