No offense but this has to be one of the most ridiculous posts I have seen in a while. I can understand trading Naslund for cap space but that's pretty useless to do unless you can use that space to boost our offense. It's true that Nazzy is no longer a superstar but he's still ridiculously better t...

You are embarassing yourself, please stop. This thread isn't worth continuing. I'm not really sure who you are referring to. If anything, it seems opinion is split on this issue. I don't think it's ridiculous to propose Ohlund providing the return was worth it but it's certainly not a trade I would...

Last year [Chubarov] scored 10 goals in 47 games i the Russian league. Certainly a better scoring pace than his NHL days but the competition is easier and he very well could be receiving more ice time. Ah, but the league is much lower-scoring, too. Evgeni Malkin was a highly-touted draft pick after...

Some interesting history about Chubarov (see http://www.tsn.ca/World_jrs/feature/?fid=3905&hubname= ) ... Next came the undefeated Swedes and the Sedin twins, Daniel and Henrik. It turned out to be no contest as Canada rolled to a 6-1 win and set up a gold medal match with Russia. The final game tu...

For me it's got to be Lonny Bohonos. That guy really impressed me in his short stint in Vancouver. I think he had something like 14 points in 20 games in 1996 and then he was traded to the leaves shortly after for Brandon Convery. Could never understand that. He never stuck in the NHL anyway but he ...

...and I'm getting pretty fucking tired of seeing Mes raise the cup over our boys as James' tag, who comes on a canuck board with that? Trolls I hear ya badfish. I questioned it a few weeks ago. Just doesn't make sense for a Canucks fan to like that image. There's nothing wrong with being a Messier...

New Jersey Devils traded Vadim Sharifijanov and a 3rd round selection (Tim Branham) in 2000 to the Vancouver Canucks for a 2nd round selection (previously acquired - Teemu Laine) in 2000 and a 3rd round selection (previously acquired - Max Birbraer) in 2000. :) at least their draft picks didnt turn...

I'd also add the Joe Thornton trade in that list; he ended up racking up a ton of points in SJ last season while the Bruins went into the tank and had to rebuild the entire team from almost scratch this past summer. I didn't include that trade because I actually thought the return was pretty decent...

Edit: The Kiprusoff trade was for a 2nd round pick that turned into Marc-Edouard Vlasic. Still a pretty awful trade, but Vlasic looks like he could be a very good player in the next few years. Damn. I thought it was a second round pick but I read somewhere that it was a 3rd round. Also, I heard tha...

Worst Trade of All Time
I was just thinking about the Luongo trade that sent him to Florida and wondered if it was the worst trade of all time. It's certainly up there, though a lot of Milbury's trades are. So in short, what is the worst trade in the history of the NHL? Feel free to add some in as I'm probably missing some...

Got a goal tonight, but if you saw the game which I am guessing most of you did, you would have seen him on that 2 on 1 with the less then steller wrist shot. I'm pretty sure he's lost it. Hate to say it but I was thinking the exact same thing during that play. I haven't seen him unleash a nasty wr...

Edler was downright spectacular tonight... at least relative to expectations. I expected something along the lines of Bourdon but Edler looked much more comfortable out there and completely poised. Hopefully this wasn't a one game aberration. Canucks could really use him if he plays the way he did t...

Sorry, but Salo is brittle. He was traded here with a bum shoulder, he hurt that shoulder again in the Olympics, and is on his second injury this year already. Bad luck or a pattern? It's no negative, it's stating a fact. Some of the other stuff maybe far fetched, I.E. Naslund not being an elite pl...

As for Bure not doing anything after he left vancouver... In his first full season (74 games) he lead the league in goal scoring by 15 goals with 58. In a season when nobody else scored 45, he scored 58 in 74 games. In the next season, he scored 59 goal again leading the league in goals. He did thi...
