As much as I love Lu and hate the idea of trading him, the present incarnation of the Nucks is just not going to get us the cup in 2 years. The farm is thin and we don't have much trade value with our current roster. Lu's is in the elite class of keepers, but there may be a top tier goalie that Noni...

Huge disappointment.... The way the team carried themselves for the past month was the reason. Missing the playoffs the way this team did was really shocking after last season. They beat themselves, pure and simple. Giving up 2 goal leads, playing with little heart and determination, coaching not at...

Man, some of you guys make me crazy. Shop Luongo?!? are you freaking kidding me? Yes, shop the best player on our team because he's had a slightly-sub-vezina season behind a team that can't score. Fire AV, because the coach-of-the-year is obviously not good enough for our team after 2 seasons, with...

If Naslund cannot perform without Bert or cannot fit the sytem, I think it is time to part ways. The team is at a critical part of the sesaon. If Naslund cannot raise his personal game at this point of the season, there is no hope. I am sick of hearing the excuses. If these are legit excuses, time t...

Trading cap ??

After watching all the trades and discussions the past few days, it got me to wondering, " What if the NHL had a trading cap ?" What if teams could only make 3 trades or only trade 7 players per season (including the off-season)? This would make the GM's decisions on personnel much more accountable,...

Got to hand it to Burke... Rules were made to be .. exploited? I don't have a problem with this tactic. Smart roster management. Give 2 aging stars a nice long rest while the rest of the team battle it out to stay in contention is not a bad plan. Not too sure if many stars could come back into a tea...

Allain to assist coach in Allstar Game??

With the Nucks win and the Stars and Sharks lose, does this mean Allain will be the assistant coach in the All-star game?
If I am correct, the Nucks are tied with Dallas for the second best record in the West ?
They have the same Win % ?
How do they get split ?
2 Assistant coaches ??

If we talk era....Gradin will always be my favorite...#23....he was a bit of Naslund & Forsberg...when he was on...he was unreal...he played on a lot of awful teams & a lot of awful ownership......Hlinka, Broduer & Gradin were the key players in 82, Since it has to be Linden & Naslund. What day doe...

I think your right, Smyl and Linden are in a class of their own in this poll. I'd have to take Linden just because I was really young when Smyl was playing and at that time I remember Tiger Williams, Ivan Hlinka and Richard Brodeur being my favourite players, none of whom could really be considered...

I was never a Bert fan but did appreciate what he did for the team, especially in his "Glory days" with the Nucks I really hated what he did to Moore as it was about the only hockey news to make it to Australia, that year. However I can not fathom how any Nucks fan could boo him when he returns with...

I can't see why the 'Nucks are lowering themselves to this level. A level that has been pointed out that they can not complete on... If Brown steps up to Boogie and gets creamed, How does that affect the rest of the team and the game? Badly I think, and Minny gets the advantage. They now know with c...

Love to see the passion of some fans but..... It IS only a jersey. As things go they will mod it or re-vamp it completely in a few years. I'm not a fan of the new version but will still buy one as I am a supporter and I like to show my support for the team and the players I love to support. It is NO...

I like the "Vancouver" word mark on the front.
But I dont like the colours, especially that blue colour.

If the colours are supposed to represent the ocean, they missed by a long shot !

Will probably get used to them over time.

Did Burke know, or worse instruct, Bert to give Moore any special attention? Did his employer ask Bert to seek this retribution? I think the answers are not, but Bert took matters into his own hands and obeyed the unwritten rule of standing up for your mates. (Honorable yes, in hindsight stoopid, we...
