Re: Jonathan Toews = Best Player in the NHL?
If he's not, he's knocking on that door. The ability to up his game at crucial times is very impressive for any player, but for a guy who just turned 22, it's quite incredible. He's a very talented, smart, focused player who leads by example. If the Hawks win the Cup he'll have done much of the heav...

Re: WHERE do the Canucks go from here? List your strategies
My guess would be the following: -Hodgson (for a very promising defensive prospect) No. I don't trade away blue chippers until I see what they can do at the NHL level. Schroeder and Schneider (for a very promising defensive prospect)) Might work. I'm still skeptical about Schroeder's realistic pote...

Re: WHERE do the Canucks go from here? List your strategies
Why would either of those teams move their premier players when both might be contenders (considering Boston has four first rounders the next two years, two of them potentially in the lotto) for quite some time? It's the budget teams we have to exploit. Speaking of which, I was listening to Pratt y...

I would limit Louie to 55 games...Schneider should be able to do 25+.Island Nucklehead wrote:The Canucks need Schneider up with the big club. Push Luongo, and I think he's capable of playing 15+ games/year.

Re: WHERE do the Canucks go from here? List your strategies
I was somewhat surprised when MG called Kevin Connauton's season 'absolutely fantastic' in his presser. Makes me think he didn't get out to the Coliseum too often. Connauton had a strong year and learned a lot, but MG is giving this the hard sell and I'm not sure I like it.

Re: Lingering Hate? Newfound respect?
Kane is a punk, and apart from his immense talent with the puck, his attitude could still flare up and cost the Hawks at some point. I like all the rest of the Hawks; they play their roles very well. I like Buffy. I've been dealing with him for years going back to junior when he used to come in with...

Re: Farhan's $0.02 - Should Canuck fans really be upset?
I think the bad taste comes from us suffering the EXACT same fate that we did a year ago. EXACT.SAME.FATE. I think it's worse this year mainly because the Canucks should have learned from last year's series, but didn't in quite a few areas. Very interesting comment....and something I want to touch ...

Re: Is It Time to Change the Coach ?
I'll throw some of the blame of the loss at his feet, but think that he's smart enough to change and get better. I thought that last year he made the mistake of sitting on leads - he didn't do that this year. He didn't have a good playoff this year, but then not many on the team can they did, eithe...

Re: Time For A Change-Get Rid Of Luongo
Apart from the fact that Nonis acquired asset in Luongo while simultaneously moving a problem in Bertuzzi,IMO Luongo should never have been here in the first place. I think a goalie who is perceived to be as good as him should be brought in as the final piece once the GM is satisfied that the rest o...

There you go again being a righteous old prick, you insult half the board with your boring diatribe about 'someday we'll get it'. I doubt you speak for 'half the board'. You barely have the mental capacity to speak for yourself. And then there's your insipid signatures that no one likes...frack me,...

Salo has 'a ruptured testicle'?
Uh.....ouch?
Back in the '80's, Seattle Seahawk Paul Moyer went to the bench, injured. He missed one play and came back out. After the game he had to go to the hospital to have a crushed testicle removed.
