Re: GDT: Canucks host Calgary - 7pm - Snet

Gotta love CalPuck... Two GDT threads (one of them before the game even starts!), 36+ pages of angst and sweet schadenfreude... And the game isn't even 40 minutes old yet...

No Phaneuf and no Jokinen... Having a hard time hating this team - thank goodness for Calpuck...

Re: GDT: Canucks @ Phoenix - 7pm TSN

Well, Phoenix doesn't give up too many goals nor would Tippett want to trade chances with Vancouver. I'll be contrarian and say they'll buck their own trend, come out firing, and jump out to a quick lead, then lock it down and win old school: 3-1.

Re: Dining in Vancouver

The Kirin restaurant that's on the top floor of City Hall is good too. I'd say it's one of the best. Glad someone mentioned the Kirin; I prefer the one downtown on Alberni . The chili- and garlic-fried prawns, spicy beef noodle soup, and double-boiled milk is worth the trip to Vancouver... And I li...

Re: GDT: Canucks @ Ohlund & Co. - 4:30 - PPV

Nittimaki gets the start tonight; he's 6-0-1 in his last seven, with a .958 save %age, and the Bolts have been reasonably good at home this season. Still kinda wish GMMG signed Kurtis Foster last summer instead of Mathieu Schneider...

Re: GDT: Canucks @ Toronto - 4pm - CBC

As satisfying as this was, there are some other things to consider: Sloooooow start - again... Can't be doing too much of that on the road, not when they can't get the best matchups. Baumer, Lukowich and Rome: The longer VAN is forced to play these three, even with their limited time is putting too ...

Re: Sedins

Burrows needs some credit here too. I am thinking that their jump from 80 point to 100+ point players is attributable to Burrows doing a lot of the dirty work for them and having the hands to finish off the job a lot of the time. Even when Burrows doesn't get an assist on a goal, he was often the o...
