Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Would we all want a health Ferland - I believe so but it would be frustrating for all to have play a couple games and gone. When can a doctor stand up and say no? Hell maybe they can't even do this? I think if a 'Healthy' Ferlund is 100%, then yes you want that dynamic on the ice. If he is 95% and ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021
Though we know it's unlikely to ever happen... Jake's arbitration hearing is set for Oct. 28, according to Friedman. What is the expectation with Jake? Signed for cheap or traded? I'm having a hard time reading Jim's mind on this one. We know he doesn't have much patience when it comes to waiting f...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
45 games played away from breaking Gordie Howe's record of all time games played. Pretty sure that was a factor in his decision making.

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021
The cheap backup for Demko in 1-2 years is Dipietro. Hopefully not for another 2 years as I think he needs all the time he can get developing in the minors. Could be even better. After this season I doubt the Canucks goaltending will cost anymore than 5 million in total. Just looking at it now, aft...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021
My two cents, I know not worth that much, out of our 3 big UFAs the one I thought for sure we would re-sign was Taffoli. My belief was probably tied to the assets we gave up to bring him in and his chemistry with Pettersson. I understand the reasoning for not bringing back both Markstrom and Tanev ...

If things stay as is we could go into next year looking something like this: Miller Pettersson Boeser Pearson Horvat Virtanen Roussel Gaudette MacEwen Motte Beagle Sutter Eriksson Bailey Hughes Myers Edler Benn Juolevi Chatfield Rafferty Demko Holtby I could handle that lineup for a year standing o...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021
I would give AP a NMC and maybe a modified NTC for the final 2 years. No problem. Him and Hughes would be a great partnership. Then sign a decent plug that can skate and fight for the #6.

If he's cheap and can hit and fight, then I am for signing him as a #6.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Sat Oct 10, 2020 8:30 am Bogo is a Luke Schenn type. He’s big and physical and he’ll be cheap.

How much do we actually save by shoving Baer and Loui in the minors? 1 mil each?

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021
Ugh, looks like Vancouver is panicking after yesterday. At least they are saying 'short term' Discussions underway this morning between Tyson Barrie and the three primary teams with interest. Tight squeeze for the Oilers, but a good fit. Vancouver is eager to land Barrie and Colorado is in the mix ...
