Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
And so much of their drama played out on HNIC and it was must watch tv. People don't get the longterm leaves hate but back then we hardly saw the Canucks on tv, here we have our own team and we actually saw the leaves more. I built up a real resentment from that.

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021
Interesting update on Tryamkin in the Province. Bill Peters may be an asshole but he's the best thing to happen to Tryamkin's career and he'll be way better prepared for a second run with the Canucks than if he was playing under a Russian coach over there this season. I still think he'll be a good a...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Quenneville also went to the Rockies and they actually got good value. Wilf Paiement was a very good player and Hickey was good too but it ripped the heart out of the franchise and it didn't recover until the Burns/Gilmour/Clark era. Milford did get hosed but Tiger has a couple good years and at lea...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021
Looked up Jayce Hawryluk after hearing the interest in him. Might be worth a shot for bottom lineup energy and defensive support and reading the Dobber comment history, he seemed to be tracking fine before falling off. They need to move on from bottom lineup guys like Beagle, Roussel, and Sutter pr...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Thornton in Toronto is perfect. Tavares, Thornton, and Spezza can take turns mentoring the kids on what it takes to not win the Stanley Cup. Was Carl Brewer busy? Oops he's dead. They seriously think adding Thornton, Simmonds, Bogosian, and Brodie, and re-signing Spezza will put them over the top, ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021
If they LTIR Ferland and buyout Sutter that leaves them with almost $8 mil to re-sign Virtanen and Gaudette and add at least another decent RHD and maybe a forward. I wouldn't be adding an asset to move any salary out at this point.

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021
I'm really looking forward to seeing Rathbone at training camp, it sure appears like him or Juolevi are going to have a spot to lose. Rathbone sheltered with a good veteran defensive partner could work out and rolling Hughes, Schmidt, and an effective Rathbone one shift after another on their own p...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021
They could also pair up Schmidt with one of the prospects if the prospect looks ready in camp. Schmidt with Rathbone would really push the pace. I like this way of thinking! Really looking forward to camp! Betting Rathbone is gonna make it difficult for Green to ignore his talent. At this point, it...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
With Gallagher, I like him as a player but I think the Canucks need to add a little size plus I'm not so sure he can continue to play that style for another 6 years without incurring a lot more injury as he gets older. Size for what? He's not a checking line player. "Size" is used for scorers as a ...

Careful there Curmey.. by Correcting Gomer on his bullshit, you might be starting an "EPIC" battle... Battle? Epic as in Joe Kapp-Angelo Mosca epic?
