Check that - supposedly the 2nd isn’t included? Maybe a straight cap dump.

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver
Have to admit I didn’t do much homework on Pods as I just didn’t think he would be our pick. That said, he ticks a lot of boxes and I like that Jimbo was willing to swing for the fences on a player that is completely different than the current crop of young players on the team and has a ton of talen...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver
Okay my final preference list for players who may be available for the Canucks at 10 is .... 1. Krebs 2. Podkolzin 3. Cozens 4. Boldy 5. Knight 6. Newhook But, I’m the guy who wanted Necas over Pettersson, so what do I know. On a lighter note, I think the audience should start chanting, Gary! Gary!...

Re: Canucks Contracts
Gardiner and Myers will be aiming for seven years not five. Yep and they will likely get it. I'd be shocked if Jimbo isn't right in there offering huge money to both. Really?? :eh: With Edler signing there's no need for another LHD (Gardiner). Maybe Myers (if Jets don't re-sign him) but I feel Jimm...

Re: Canucks Contracts
Now that's much better - well done in the poker game Jimbo, I wasn't sure you had it in you. A 2 year deal is just about perfect for a guy like Edler. Time to go get a dman who is actually better than Edler now - this is offseason #6 for Jimbo and Edler is still their best dman. That's pitiful. Chan...

Re: Canucks Contracts
Friedman now reporting it might be a 4 year deal - if so it changes the deal for me. 4 years is too long for Edler, he's already slow and injury prone so what do you expect him to be at 37? I guess if the cap hit is low enough it's ok, but he should not get 4 years. Then again, Jimbo gave a 33 year ...

Re: Canucks Contracts
Sounds like it’s a done deal with Edler 5.5 million over three years. Modified NMC for the first two years. If this is true that’s a good job by Elmer. Keep Gardiner the fuck away from here hopefully too I like Gardiner's game more than Edler's overall, but Gardiner is getting $7-$8 million not $5....

Re: Canucks Contracts
Supposedly closing in on a 3 year deal for Edler with a modified NMC. I'm fine with the 3 years even though I doubt he'll still be any good at 36 - it's a good compromise though. Hopefully when Jimbo can't trade him in 2 years the dude won't blame GIllis for the NMC this time. ;) To add to that, be...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Salary cap around $82 million or lower this year - good news for Jimbo if he uses it. There are a bunch of teams that have screwed themselves so make them pay through the nose to take on their money. For a guy like Zaitsev, for example, if he doesn't come attached to a high pick or top prospect then...

Buttons final list 12th - Dach 14th - Cozens McKenzies final list 5th - Dach 6th - Cozens Both these two work for TSN I think the Bobfather gets the lists from ten scouts and compiles a cumulative list off of that. I don’t think it’s his personal list or anything. Button does a lot of his own watch...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
4 years is not a problem. Banking on a firm anything from Tree is a bad bet. But, he prefers playing the right side.....at least that was the case when he first showed up here. Our blue line has Tanev, Stecher, and maybe Schenn, currently. Woo is 2 years away. After that nobody. Give him the term, ...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Murphy was saying yesterday that trade protection wasn’t the issue with the Edler camp. Their issue is term. He didn’t speculate as to how far apart the two are in term but sounds like cap and trade protection can be worked out. In that case give him 3 years if we must. We can always buy out that 3...
