Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 19-20 Sponsored by SKYO

Trade Stetcher when one of Juolevi, Rathbone or Woo are ready to be NHL regulars. I don't mind him on the roster - especially as a place-holder until the blueline system starts producing regulars. We're not there yet. Maybe in the off-season. Trade him now and watch the hockey gods wipe out half the...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

It was better when you could beat the shit out of guys and just get a penalty. Now it can alter a guys career ffs. No wonder 5'10 dmen are thriving in todays NHL Yeah it’s a different game for sure. I like the speed and skill but I miss the anger. I miss the rivalries and the physicality of years p...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Seeing Gudbranson and del Zotto on the ice together in Anaheim makes me realize how bad our defence was not so long ago.

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

I'm really hoping they dont do anything and just ride the suction pipe indefinitely...now that would be the best case ontario Can Canada stand two perennial tank teams? Then again, Edmonton and Toronto being in two different conferences would rob us of an intense turtle-derby punctuated by the iron...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

I still think it was a questionable move to keep him up that year. Calgary must have looked like a helluva bad option for Benning to keep him in Vancouver.

I still think he has some upside once he grows up.

Surprised to see Baertschi there. Somebody will take a flyer on him or Goldobin.

Re: Meanwhile, on the other side of the pond 2019/20

Anton Rödin has three points in four games (1G 2A) for Brynäs. Nils Höglander has two points so far, 1G 1A, which has him tied for third place among players under the age of 20 in the SHL this season. He's averaging 14:12 minutes per game. Thanks for the updates. Where's Linus Karlsson these days? ...

Count me among the consensus that would take Boeser over Laine every day. The difference between them, among other things, is attitude and dressing room chemistry. Boeser seems the much better fit for Vancouver’s core. You can tell he’s a good presence in the dressing room and has good bonds with hi...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Kind of like watching "Bizarre" with John Byner, where you're not sure what got bleeped out but you know somebody believed you shouldn't hear it, and then let the imagination roll.

I hate the peaceful hillbilly countryside, it’s like “wonderful this, trees there, lake here, dirt there, amazing. Now take me to the city where I can drink and eat and be merry in fine establishments with sexy waitresses” Thats why i married hot. Sexy coke skanks are cool and all but a hot babe ma...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

I’ve heard of rumblings of discontent in Utica, with a lot of it being leveled at Cull. Apparently he’s more Tortorella than Green in his approach. Likes his gritty grinders over the skilled players. I think if we have more rumblings and lack of progress from Benning’s picks, I wouldn’t be surprised...
