Re: NHL business

Bonnie Henry isn’t interested in pandering to get re-elected.
That’s not what professional sports organizations are used to.

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021

If they go 4-0 to start, Bonnie Henry will let them back to Rogers Arena.
If they go 0-4, they can stay in Edmonton.

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021

With all the firings at SN last year, current analysts are motivated to be popular in the Toronto area. This probably leads to a unrecognized bias on their part. Basically the Leaves are equivalent to a pump and dump stock. They get all the hype possible in the off-season, eventually fail, get shit ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021

Defensively: If the Habs focus on defense they should easily have the lowest GAA. They have a great goalie. Winnipeg and Vancouver should be right behind them defensively. Winnipeg has the better goalie. Vancouver has good goalies and better defensemen. Marky is going to get lit up because Calgary w...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021

So today I sat in my truck in like 30+ store parking lots listening in on 3 different cities radio hockey shows and nobody is giving much of a chance of Vancouver being very good. I find this very strange. Van has emerging superstar talent at all positions but the other 3 town's teams I was dialed ...

Not sure about this.
Suicide rates will spike back east when the Leaves miss the playoffs.

Re: Canucks Contracts

You’re right that the AHL is the place for the prospects to develop, but just practicing with the vets on the taxi squad would help them if the AHL getting started is delayed. It will be hard for even the best prospects to earn a spot with no preseason games. You’d think Green will want as much of t...

Thirty-six skaters allowed at training camp and unlimited goalies. Re: NHL business

I’ve seen it said the Canucks will be allowed to play in Vancouver, but teams from other provinces won’t be allowed so they will have to automatically default two points to the Canucks for all those road games. I’ve seen it said there is a lot of push back on this plan, so they might have to make a ...

Re: NHL business

Kids are grubby little bastards Just have to do some divergent thinking to find solutions for all these issues. Reminds me of some old jokes. What’s blue and sits in the corner? A baby in a plastic bag. What’s green and sits in the corner? Same baby six months later. See a solution, and it even inc...

Re: NHL business

Just go back in a bubble so there is minimal risk. Players can suck it up until a vaccine arrives. Lots of workers go away from their families for months to make a lot less than these millionaires. Meet health care needs, bubble up, or go away. Any of these options will let them play.
