I feel refreshed and re-energized

...part of Luongo's optimism is that he's in sync with new general manager Mike Gillis. Part of it is the resolve to erase the bad memory of last spring. And part of it is the comfort of having wife, Gina, and daughter, Gabriella, with him this season. "I feel refreshed and re-energized," said Luon...

Re: Canucks Prospects Game on now online

It's weird watching a couple of guys I watched a lot in Vegas playing against the Canucks. Adam Cracknell and Aki Seitsonen were both popular players on a great ECHL team. It's nice to them get a chance to wear an NHL uniform. So I've been torn watching this game. Aki on a breakaway? He puts it away...

So far Sauve's looking comfortable out there - the rest just looks like slow paced shinny.

Re: So what do we have here... (a top 5 pick?)

What I see is a disparately thin blueline. Up front we have some people to fill holes that can stand in for a while. If we have d-men go down again this year, we're toast. I would have to think that a couple of prospects could step it up this year. (I'm looking at your Grabner). Missing from Clam's ...

Re: Canucks make Scott Mellanby Pro Scout

I guess since we're saving $10 million this season, we may as well put some more money in the front office where there is no cap.

Re: Robert Lang traded to Montreal (No Sundin for Habs)

Yep - a solid 20-25 goal scorer gone. I really have to wonder how some of these deals go through. Does one GM just call the other and say "You want Lang" - "Sure - how about a 2nd for him" "Done - how's the wife?" or do they actively shop him around to 15-20 teams and fish for the best deal? I would...

Looks good and works good! I'm glad to see the names back on the left where they belong :D

Good luck with the rest of the changeover.

Re: Carolina Hurricanes release Third Jersey

Don't really care for it. At all. Just another corporate decision of style of substance. A triangle, a flag and stick.... yawn. You have to look the other leagues to see some fun, exciting logos. AHL : http://www.sportslogos.net/league.php?id=2 ECHL : http://www.sportslogos.net/league.php?id=14 But ...

I don't know if just because I notice them, but there seems to be a lot of Ex-Canucks in the coaching-management positions around the NHL and other leagues.
