600,000 plus bonuses: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=216584&hubname=nhl That's a fair deal. Certainly a heck of a lot fairer than the minimum. After last year's playoffs, $950,000 for 82 games from Linden is about right. This raises a question, when is a games played bonus available? For any ...

I though that only a player older than 35 who had been injured the previous season and missed quite a few games could negotiate those sorts of incentive into their contract?

Linden to sign for the league minimum?

Iain MacIntyre is reporting today that Linden will sign a new one-year deal with the 'Nucks today or tomorrow. http://www.canada.com/vancouversun/news/sports/story.html?id=e1aacdb6-dbd7-44f9-af79-b7bcec7cbc0c Here's the kicker - it's for the League minimum. $475,000. "Linden, naturally, is doing wha...

Obviously this whole brain-poisoning via lead contamination from toys manufactured in China situation is much, much more serious than the media is letting on . . . Any time a GM can resign his No. 1 playoff performer for less than $900,000, I think he'd have be an utter fool with rocks in his head t...

Interesting perspective, Meer. I'm sure you have been asked this before but have you or did you deal with Stan "The Toady" McCammon? I hear he was a real sweetheart. That's not a bad time.

I usually clock in at 54-55 minutes, so at least the guy is fitter than me!

For the good of the Canucks I hope Aqualini loses. I have had business dealings over the years with the parties to all sides of this dispute, and for the life of me I can't fathom the above sentiment. Francesco Aquilini has let DN spend to the cap and has given him a bigger budget than McCaw ever g...

Exhibit A that DN is doing his job.

Good to hear.

Not a bad result . . . for the Canucks. This weakens our toughest Conference opponent, who's size we had problems with during the regular season and in the playoffs. Make no mistake about it, the Ducks are still a damned big team - but a tad less threatening now and with less depth. While Penner wil...

How Lowe can you go? Evidently, pretty damned low. Snakebelly low. It's nice to know that soon no GM in the league will be willing to deal with Lowe - unless its to completely sodomize the Oil. How I ask, can this clown keep his job? He has a team on the verge of the Cup. Then, loses a Norris trophy...

The funny thing is that the increased League revenues, that have permitted the salary escalation, have very little to do with the League's performance and everything to do with the increased value of the Canadian dollar.

Damn those Canadians with their nutty, coloured currency.

Lowe loses again and comes off as the biggest assclown in the League since Clarke lost his marbles.

Hmmmn. Maybe they should run some tests on Lowe for dementia.

At that price, I'm glad Nonis passed.

At least with the depleted Islanders, Dollar Bill won't have to worry about a poor playoff performance.
