Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

so a 10.5 mil offersheet on Marner (2 firsts a second a third) cannot be matched by the leaves unless they clear out 1.3 2.269 more within that 48 hour period. Edit - had the wrong calc - right now the most they can offer Marner and stay cap compliant over the summer is around 7.3 - anything over th...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

. Satiar Shah ‏Verified account @SatiarShah I’m still keeping an eye on the Stars as a potential destination for Loui Eriksson. Could see something involving Cogliano who has 2 years at $3.25M per left and/or Comeau who also has 2 years remaining at $2.4M per 12:09 PM - 14 Jul 2019 That's a good de...

I hope Benning holds firm. Let’s see how Louie likes Utica. Or......get out there Berry and find a market. He has permission to do so, so I’ve been told. Team might want to play they young kids in Utica - is there even room for him there? Kalamazoo might be an option? How would that be perceived in...

How long do the Devils have to sign Quinn's brother to a contract.

Someone needs to start a rumor that he's holding out to come to Vancouver.

I wonder if he still wants lacavaliier
Was that the same guy who wanted to trade the twins for Oli Jokinen so Nasund and Bert finally had a true #1C to play with.

It was him or Pauser, can't remember

Kevin Kurz ‏ @KKurzNHL Labanc will have arbitration rights next summer as an RFA (he didn’t this summer). He really is betting on himself as Wilson phrased it. He repeats last season or improves, a big multi-year contract is in his future. But for now, this is a deal that really gives DW flexibilit...

And nobody saw the Luongo retirement coming and it surprises me that not more is being made of the Panthers pretty much admitting that they swayed Loui into retirement vs Long Term Injury to save them cap space with the nudge nudge wink wink being that he will be given a job within the organization...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 19-20 Sponsored by SKYO

Loui Eriksson is the prime example of why players being traded should have their cap hits restructured based on remaining money divided by original term. Loui Eriksson - original contract $36 mil over 6 years = $6mil per year Remaining: $9 mil over original 6 years: $1.5mil per year So the team acqu...

Really pissy timing on Luongo's decision. Just fluke but gees; . https://www.tsn.ca/report-roberto-luongo-to-inform-florida-panthers-of-intentions-for-next-season-1.1325340 His .899 save percentage was the best of his career , but his 3.12 goals-against average was the highest since his rookie seas...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries) was

Hayes signs with Flyers. 7 years, 50M. About 7.1 for the cap. Perhaps what we are looking at for Boeser. You know if HAYES is worth 7 mil+, is Boeser gonna do the "see what the offer sheets are" thing? Or is this dude getting that much cause he puts up moderate points and is BIG. A million per inch...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Canucks spent that money on better prospect talent in Teves, Rafferty and Keilly. Late round draft picks rarely pan out. It’s kind ridiculous the draft goes beyond 5 rounds. Brassard a 7th round pick I like that idea - make the draft 5 rounds then anyone who was draft eligible that year is free to ...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

I've done the math, Canucks can sign Marner to a 12 mil offersheet and if the leaves don't match, they can sign Karlsson for 10 mil, Boeser for 7 and keep Eriksson, Rousell and Beagle and still have about 5 mil in cap space left over. Signing Karlsson probably entices Edler to just take 5 mil for 2 ...
