Goaltending definitely isn't their strong point, but Osgood has been playing very well lately. If either Hasek or him gets the slightest bit hot in the playoffs they'll be a force to be reckoned with. Plus that defence sure makes up for the lack of a world class keeper. Is Detroit's defense better ...

Detroit will lose to Vancouver if they meet. They have one glaring hole: it's called a goalie. Not sure what to make of the Sharks at this point, but they still have all the pieces that made them a real threat last year. Anaheim was good enough to do it last year, this year they might even be better...

We already have two star players: Henrik & Daniel Sedin.

We also have a super-star player, his name is Roberto Luongo.

As this is a "knowlegable realistic hockey forum", the answer to your question is: nothing.

The rest of your post is useless as a topic for debate.

Iginla is the stereotype of a tough Canadian Captain. Bollocks. You want a better example? Try Brind'amour. Unfortunately, Iginla's the poster boy for everything that's wrong with this generation of hockey player - whiny, yappy, and unwilling to let his ability do his talking. Oh, and don't forget ...

Yeah, one whiny, overhyped yapper like him is enough for any league. Thank God Kesler's not another one of him.

Beautiful. Of all the BC born players, he was the only one I never wanted for the Canucks. Have fun in Craplanta. Absolutely. I think you were more of a Dave Thomlinson fan weren't you ? I mean why would anyone want a proven player like Recchi when they can have a scrub like Jody Shelley . :l...

Free speech & thoughts are a great thing....... Yes they are truly great things. Unfortunately too many people can't think critically (or otherwise for that matter) or deal with the issue of personal responsibility. I really have contempt for people that think governments should do everything for t...

Hey SR, I loved the Bobby Orr era as much as anyone. But if you witnessed last nights Pitt. game and didn't find it exciting there is something wrong with you. It was A INTENSE barage of talent, scoring chances, big hits, and even Cooke got in a fight(sort of). And at the end of the game you got some...

Are you seriously saying that Naslund was invisible? Naslund on the other hand, while not all world, did a pretty good job leading our offence. Leading them where, exactly? Our offense, in case you weren't paying attention, was terrible last night. Okay, maybe it was a "road game at home", and thus...

And yet again, Kesler's the best player for the Canucks, while our six million dollar man is invisible.

Crosby is not the best player in the league right now. Vinny is by a wide margin. While I am not sure that there is a "wide margin" As of today, Ovechkin's been a better player than Crosby this season. And since Vinny has been a lot better than Ovechkin, I'd call that margin large enough to be "wid...

Exactly. And when your league is filled with pussies & cheap shot artists, just how are you going to find any intensity?

If you're a complete moron (i.e. Bettman) you embrace the pussy, and make a star of the aforementioned Briere et al.
