With a full nmc, but maybe a sign and trade? I really doubt he’s moved but I really like him as a player, he’s a class act and can really drive play in the o zone. With the quality of players we have here he’d fit in perfectly.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
no thanks to gallagher let's move away from 6 feet and under Gallagher plays like a 6ft 9 giant though. He’d be an amazing add, he is elite at driving the play, the epitome of going to the hard area of the ice. I wonder if Jake plus Louie plus pick with Gallagher plus money coming back to even it o...

He wasn’t the poison, the poison was the guy in San Jose. Got it from a very good source.Madcombinepilot wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 10:55 am Isnt Hoffman and his wife the poison that caused the fracture in the Sens locker room?
if yes, why would we want that?

Maybe Virtanen is the cost to move a contract to fit in Hoffman. Or, perhaps Loui is going to do the right thing and retire, saving all of us a lot of trouble. Maybe hook him up with a plum scouting position in Sweden. He’d probably play in Sweden instead, he’d get a decent chunk of change yet.

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 19-20 Sponsored by SKYO
I'm just speculating, but I wonder if letting Tanev go was deliberately moving on from such injury-prone players. In which case, I can't see them getting Vatanen. Even if he signs for, say, $3 mil, that's $3 mil for 60-70 games a year. I know for a fact Jimmy (like most GMs?) takes injury-proneness...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Interesting, HW... I don't think JB can ever win in this market. He acts decisively right away -> He's too hasty. He waits patiently to see how it plays out -> He's asleep. Not a shot against you Mëds. I agree with everything... except the Stecher part. Goodbye Runt. LOL he’s a genius according to ...

Canucks dodged a bullet with Tanev. Glad for him, he was able to cash in on Hughes carrying him around the ice, I don’t see gio being able to do that. Time to get Barry on a short term deal to help edler with transitioning the zone.

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021
Stecher is fine as a number 6 making 1.5 - 2 million. The amount of heat he catches here because one miserable old poster hates his guts for being short, is laughable. The team has wayyyy bigger issues than the #6 D man. Yet the same posters who pile on the guy regularly are A ok with paying Jay Be...

The way free agency is shaping up, i think it’s smart to let all our guys test the market first.

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 19-20 Sponsored by SKYO
I'm of the mind that, in life, having more options and flexibility is preferable to having less. This is true for hockey, both on the ice and off the ice. Trading for an onerous contract like OEL's will definitely limit our options down the road. Yeah, we all like to offload bad contracts like Loui...

Dude, the Desert Dogs are not going to retain for 7 years. I figure OEL is overpaid by a cool million per, but I'll take him at the rumoured discounted price. Loui + Juolevi + Hoglander + 2nd Works for me... Yeah if that’s the package it’s a no brainer, we get to keep rathbone and podkolzin, and ge...

Re: Pre-draft & pre-free-agent day speculation
Dhillon is a lefty, if they want rathbone or joulevi playing next year don’t know if there’s room for him, if joulevi/rathbone are gonna be spare guys I think dhillon could be a great partner for Barry (or Myers for that matter). Pick up a cheap Luke Schenn for Hughes and we’re good to go.
