Another blown call by Shanny.

Volchenkov was protecting himself as Marchand was taking a run at him :look:
And Hall doesn't even get a hearing.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Remember when the NHL had the waiver draft at the start of the season and Vancouver was somehow able to have Leif Rohlin (or was it Lars Molin?) on their unprotected list for several years? Thats the one. I don't think the Isles will carry this one out like the Canucks did though.Thomas is either g...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

You don't think Läck is ready to step up? It's what, a 48 game season? Pretty sure Lack is injured (out for a month?). But either way, Schneids would need a veteran back-up imo. Raycroft would be a serviceable option to share back up duties with Lack. Schneider- 30 games Raycroft- 9 games Lack- 9 g...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

Guess I'll plunk this here: The Eliminator is returning to the Calgary Flames as an assistant coach. Martin Gelinas, one of the heroes of the franchise’s incredible run to the 2004 Stanley Cup final, is expected to be named to the club’s coaching staff as early as Thursday, the Sun has learned. When...

Re: TV Shows: What are you watching?

Think I'll give the Hatfields and the McCoys a look see tonight on History channel. Love a well done western. Hell on Wheels was ok . Hoping this miniseries with Kevin Costner, Bill Paxton and Powers Boothe looks as good as advertised. I thought it was great. Will definitely be watching the next two.

Taking the kids to the Lego exhibit at science world today and will be dining at the The Old Spaghetti Factory afterwards. I know it's a favourite of Toppers and Donny's so if you guys want to join me for a meatball I'll be there around five. Donny doesn't usually lurk here on weekends and I have no...

If you haven't seen it..... It’s the best drama ever made! Better than the Soprano's by a bunch.
Agreed 100%. I've downloaded all 5 seasons and have watched them all twice.

Re: TV Shows: What are you watching?

'The Wire' should be tops on your list Ray, you won't be disappointed. Amen bos; but I recently tried that "you won't be disappointed" line on a fellow downloader/pirater at my kids school. She's almost through the first season and is just not impressed at all. "It's too slow... blah blah blah... I...
