Re: TV Shows: What are you watching?
100 is dumb...unless you are 15 I thought the idea was interesting, but holy f**k what a stupid show. The scientific basis is laughable. They're running out of air, so they start ejecting people into space? (Not only do you lose the airlock's oxygen, but a human body contains at least 50 kilos of o...

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.Rumsfeld wrote:This is the first time I've ever rooted for Calgary to make the playoffs.
Gotta say, it feels pretty shitty.
They need to beat the Kings into 3rd in the Pacific though, a Wild Card for the Flame-outs doesn't help us...

Re: Time to Change the Oil.
I think that we would see Bettman hand the Cup to the Canucks at the beginning of the season before we ever see the concept of of a two tiered NHL considered (not that's its a bad idea). The idea of having a franchise lose value by being regulated to the 2nd tier goes against what the NHL's busines...

No way, looks to be above the knees, his hip basically hits Perry around the belt buckle. (if he was wearing one)Topper wrote:Looks like a clip to me. I'm thinking Ballard gets a call from the league on this one.
Ballard lowered his body and hit at the knees of Perry.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
I think the NHL and PA did the right thing on this one with respect to the cap. As much as I love seeing a rival suffer it is the correct approach in not having it count against the cap. As in all precedents the NHL sets they won't feel bound by it. They will simply say it's different the next time...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
The reality is they are first round fodder until the prove otherwise. Even if they win a round by some fluke theyre toast in round two... And I don't mind saying it at all.... Looks like they will face Boston or maybe MTL, it'll be interesting to see how well they play against the Bruins. (or not.....

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
This is nonsense. Gillis kept Lu because the offers were crap. Keeping him was the right call as he's a valuable member of the team and there is no downside to having him here. Now, should GMMG fail to move him before the start of next season, and we are left holding the bag on that contract, then ...

Re: Vancouver's Hockey "Media"
From the Province today: 1. Evidently some fans who have not exactly been thrilled with the performance of the Avs this year brought some signs to the game which were not overly complimentary. At least one, anyway. That one read ‘fire Sacco,’ referring to Avs coach Joe Sacco. The other two were tot...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka
Calgary got screwed. Pittsburgh is near the top of the standings, if they win it all the first rounder gets them the 30th overall pick. Nothing special there. The prospects aren't anything special either. . Not really, Calgary got a couple of prospects and a low first rounder for a guy UFA at seaso...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka
I don't think there's any price that makes sense for the Canucks and makes this okay for the Flames. If it is in fact true, then I hope that either the Penguins pony up for Jarome this year (knowing - as they have pretty much openly stated this year - that they'll lose him to free agency) or that F...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka
So the asking price for Iggy is a first, a good young prospect and a roster player or another prospect. Schroeder, 1st and Connauton get it done ?? Maybe one of Gaunce or Jensen instead of the little guy ? To heck with that, I might as well morgage my house and bet it down at the track... In the la...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka
Maybe Tampa takes a run at Kipper but they had better do it soon as they are falling fast. They're not falling fast - they are done! They've already circled the bowl and are down the sewer now... The cutoff in the East is expected to be around 54 points. Even if the Bolts go on a .750 pace (only Ch...

I get that dude is all butthurt that his team will miss the playoffs again . Oh no, they're all doing crazy math to figure out how the Flames can make it in.... "Let's see, the Sharks play against LA, if they both lose in regulation, and the Flames get 3 points in their next game...."

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka
Bountiful was a good board coming out of the rivals era. One of the best hockey boards in fact. Then they began to let the inmates run the asylum. . Is it still around? Ya, and they started this shit about the Canucks being divers and whiners It would be nice if the NHL would just figure out the ru...

What's with all the hate for Calgary?
And what's wrong with their board, is it heavily moderated or something?
Havn't bothered to look, just curious
