Re: Carbon recapture

The WEF has been gathering for 50 years as a group under the guise of making the world a better place. The ruling elite. Yet the planet gets more fucked up every year. If they really wanted to make things better the power and money is there. Globalisation has helped improve the world in remarkable ...

Let's just hope that this isn't just hot air but that they actually follow through this time. ...

Re: CC Random thread

I thought the poppies were a symbol for WW1? And I agree you should not fire people for not being vaccinated. I thought Canada was a civilised country... Some healthcare providers in Sweden move their unvaxxed staff to tasks that do not involve direct contact with patients, but you cannot fire someo...

Re: CC Random thread

Damn straight. Any government official who wears a poppy and yet goes along with the current mandates and divisive narrative should be put in public stocks and ridiculed until they actually realize what they are doing. Why? People weren’t ridiculed over the lockdowns and restrictions to fight the S...

Re: Past Canuck Players

Markstrom 31. Demko 25. Tag in the contracts and long term outlook. ...no brainer. Yeah. I wasn’t happy to see him go, but with Holtby brought in I too figured it made sense. Especially monetary sense. Also, our team wasn’t ready for a run just yet, so, yeah, younger seemed to make sense. But now h...

[mod edit to save scroll wheels - "Donnie's smackdown" ] Touché! In my defence though, none of those were grammatical errors, they were all typos. OK, one case of punctuation as well. I do not feel quite as strongly about spelling (or punctuation) as I do about grammar. But yeah, I oug...

Re: Past Canuck Players

Anyone recall Francis Perron? We got him for Pyatt in a trade with the Sharks. Spent 2019/20 in Utica. Don't think he ever sported the Orca. Well, possibly at camp. 1A2X1Iaboh4 Still got the skill, still got the moves. Probably not physical enough for the NHL, but doing OK, playing for Björklöven in...

Btw... three shutouts in six games!

Assuming he plays 60 games, that's a projected 30 shutout season.

Re: Past Canuck Players

What did conventional wisdom say about Markstrom last season? 6th in the league in wins. Went 22-19-2 GAA 2.68 and SVS% .904 Two shutouts. Not amazing numbers, but getting the wins. Demko went 16-18-1 with a GAA of 2.85 and SVS% of .915. One shutout. So last season the difference wasn't glaring. Ma...
