Re: 2014/15 Line Up projections
I was not a fan of Jason Garrison, glad he's gone. His shot was overrated, his skating was awful and didn't have an ounce of a mean streak in him. Country Club Garrison and his massive contract, bye bye. The reason I take Sbisa a thousand times over Garrison? He plays with an edge, which is what we...

Re: 2014/15 Line Up projections
My biggest worry is overachieving and being able to resign everyone next season. That Burrows contract really sucks. I don't see a problem re-signing everyone with the cap going up. Biggest raise will go to Tanev, who should get about $4m-per. If there's a problem next summer, trade off Hansen/Higg...

Re: 2014/15 Line Up projections
At this point of time, we don't need any more prospects as the last few years drafting have completely replenished our cupboards (maybe a trade of a forward prospect for an early 20s defensive prospect would be good though). With the Sedins showing us (so far) that they still got it, we need roster...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
All conflicts of interest and joke LTIR aside, just the idea of having a dirty player like Pronger in the department of "player safety" is a joke. "Yeah - sure he stomped on the guy's ankle, but it isn't ' that ' broken - no suspension". Agree. This move smacks of nepotism. I don't know Pronger fro...

Mëds puts forth some logical arguments.
Arachnid responds like a petulant child.
I think that pretty much summarizes this "conversation". (I'm not even sure why you bothered Mëds)

Re: 2014/15 Line Up projections
It's not just a 2nd rounder. We gave up Garrison, Costello & a 7th for that pick. So we could have kept Garrison & Santorelli, or used the 2nd for another promising prospect (SKYO already mentioned one solid D). Plus on top of it, the 3 spot would have been a sweet opening for Horvat's development....

Re: 2014/15 Line Up projections
He better, he didn't come cheap for an unproven player. Yup, that is my thinking as well, as Vey didn't come cheap as we traded a 2nd rounder with a good dman avail with Roland McKeown. ...and we traded Garrison to get that pick & could have just signed Santorelli to hold the fort until Horvat was ...

Methinks Matthias potentially could be that guy.Lancer wrote:
As $lacker notes, how refreshing to see a PP that looks like a PP for the most part. It would still be nice to have Bert-like net presence but who knows what prospects may grow into that role. T

Our top line on a 3 on 1 should be an automatic goal.
