Oh. My mistake. So according to you, Benning absolutely is not a genius... say it isn't true

Re: An Apathetic Death
It’s quite simple for me, the Canucks are too slow of a group, especially their top core player group. Green could not stop saying it in post game last night, I’ve been saying it for awhile. This is on Benning IMO . I seem to recall Mëds saying that team speed can actually be determined by ...

Re: An Apathetic Death
In the 70s and early 80s, they may have lost their fair share of games, but they were no pushovers. There was grit and plenty of scraps to keep the fans entertained. Their cup-run in '82 was a rallying point for a bunch us while swilling beer and puffing on Columbian up in Quesnel. Anyways, their pl...

Re: An Apathetic Death
Yeah its strangely satisfying to have the morbid history of the 'can-nots' articulated... maybe masochistic? A number of us have been witness to the shit show from day 1. 'Wasting away in looserville'.

Re: An Apathetic Death
Typically I record the games and then scroll thru on fast forward until I see a score change, then stop and watch the goal in real time, and then continue on. They simply are not worth wasting time over for 2.5 hours. I enjoy reading the posts on this board, lots of intelligence and humour, not to m...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 21-22
Personally, I would prefer they 'dangle' Horvat as trade bait more than Miller. Miller is a force to be reckoned with; is scoring at least a point a game clip. Horvat? Not nearly as much. Horvat's contract is up at the end of next year and he'll be 28. Why not try to get some value for him now, and ...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 21-22
Not sure how Aquilini rationalizes keeping Benning around given the team's status after 7/8 years!? Sure as shit, Green has to be replaced, but really, both Benning and Green need to go. The longer this drags out, the more poorly it reflects on ownership. I guess we've heard the last of the 'genious...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 21-22
Hi all. Lots of tension in canuck-land eh? Not saying this is relevant, not saying it isn't, but didn't Linden go on his way after mgt decided to not buy into his plan for a slower and more patient player/team development plan?If true, that appears to be really unfortunate. Ownership sure is in an u...

So the owner Mr. Aquilini, has opted to attend a football game rather than attend to the free-fall his team is going thru. That says a lot about where he's at with his priorities. What a shit-head! Jeese.

Re: WTF is up with Pettersson? (Poll)
Am thinking both Benning and Green's respective worlds are about to be rocked, depending on what happens this weekend. Two more losses, and its difficult to imagine Mr. Aquilini permitting any more of the shit show to continue. So regardless of how or why, the ole Petey isn't here right now and ya h...

Re: GDT: Canucks host preds - Nov 5 - 7pm - SNP
Not sure about what I'm reading here. In my view the Canucks played a good game; lots of good passing and creativity. Their frikin goalie played a good game! Petterson was smart and early more aggressive, from the outset. They're coming around - they're on the up an up. Its a one goal loss to a team...

Pretty balanced there x'pat, truth is we don't know where the Canucks will be after 2o games: appreciating/ hoping for a turn around re: goal scoring or looking at hell. Gonna be lots of eyes on the nucks - rangers game

Juolevi was the best Canuck tonight. No reason ever to get a hard-on for anything in a preseason game

Re: 2021 NHL Playoffs
The Oilers have a couple of scoring stars, while Winnipeg have a seasoned team. It really does come down to the little things - team defence and dare I say that Smith was just a sliver less sharp than Hellebuck -(sp)? It was gratifying to see the Jets sweep the Oil with their shiney stars. :D (what ...
