Re: So, who would you like in a return for Luongo

Fast forward to end of April. Schneider starts the first 4 games of the season looking VERY average in them. Lou comes in for a game and steals it for us. Schneider gets another start and screws the pooch. Lou gets 2 in a row and is a brick wall. They then share the load for the next 10 games with L...

Re: Prospects Thread 2012-13

Listen Potluck, I like Kassian but I had expected him to be in the top 50 in scoring in the AHL and not on the outside of 100 looking in. This, I agree with, however, I think it's a combination of not having line mates who work well with him and a coaching system which doesn't lend itself to Kassia...

That'll teach those greedy fuckers.

Re: New 10 year NHL CBA!

I'm "boycotting" (if you want to call it that) for 113 days, the length of the lockout. I won't attend any games, nor purchase any PPV, or purchase any NHL merchandise during this period either. I will watch (either at home or in a bar) and support my home team.

Go Hawks!

Re: There will be a strike

Well it's been 15 hours straight of meetings and from everything that I'm reading online/twitter etc, it seems like this could be the make it/ break it session for the season. They want to achieve an agreement in principle, and then iron out details in the next day or so. At least that's the best ca...

Per, what's the standard of this league? Given the fact it's not even the best league in your country, I'm assuming Raymond "should" light it up?

Re: Prospects Thread 2012-13

No pressure kid! Yikes - 14 and having those types of names being thrown around will definitely weigh on your mind! That said, if he does go WHL next year it seems like he will hold his own. At 14 he's the same height/weight as a full grown adult (no doubt has to learn to use it), but by the time he...

Re: So, who would you like in a return for Luongo

IF the season actually starts this year, I think MG's best strategy is to hold Lou until the trade deadline (which would only be about 5-6 weeks after puck is dropped anyway), and then look at trading him. If they were to trade him as soon as a season was announced, I think the market is pretty thin...

Re: Prospects Thread 2012-13

Yeah I know that Gaunce doesn't exactly have the pedigree nor the offensive side of the game but he's regarded as a leader and I believe to be very responsible in his zone. If they're picking for 9 scoring forwards and 3 defensive, you would think he may have a chance to sneak in as one of the 3 "4t...

Was Brendan Gaunce ever considered for the invite? A 1st rounder not even on invite list - I would have thought he would have been given a look?

Re: The "Let's get it all out" thread - lockout edition

Yeah I'm doing my own personal boycott for 1 calendar year. Not attending a Canucks game for a calendar year, even if a ticket is given to me (and usually go to 8-10 games per year - either paid by me or ticket given to me). I like the idea of a 1 game boycott by the fans. Would definitely send a me...

Did he leave his Mark on your mom? :eh:
Doesn't Messier prefer to play with other guys hockey sticks??

Re: Canucks to retire Pavel Bures number 10

I blame Messier for the Bure departure from Canucks. Everything Mess touched when he played for Canucks turned into a steaming pile of dogshit. Bure asked Pat Quinn to be traded multiple times before Messier ever played for the Canucks. Yeah I know - I just hate Messier and like to blame him...

Re: Canucks to retire Pavel Bures number 10

Bure rates in the top 10 players of all time. No he doesn't ....not even close and I am a huge Bure honk. Doutbtful he is a top 25 player all time let alone top 10. Bure may be top 10 most EXCITING players of all time (probably top 5), but in terms of overall, I agree, he may crack top 40... which ...
