Re: The Brexit disaster

Unfortunately Per, Labour in the UK are so shambolic that they've basically stepped aside. It's a common problem I feel amongst hard-core socialists generally. Warren/Bernie in the US seem similar. Even though their opponent is repugnant and almost unthinkable to vote for, rather than ceding some of...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Stevens had over 100 fights in his career easily. He was a dirty prick but he sure as hell wasn't afraid to back it up. He fought all the heavies back in the day and more than held his own. He certainly had a reputation as a fighter from the early-80s, but he didn't do it often and from his dirty h...

Upper body, no specific details.
Maybe took one in the ribcage? Take an e-ray to be on the safe side" That would be my guess. Don't know.

They are arriving by the truckload. https://www.foxnews.com/world/uk-polcie-arrest-murder-suspect-after-39-bodies-found-in-back-of-truck Illegal migrants are not the same as immigrants. The media (intentionally I think) very often fail to make the distinction. It doesnt make it the situation on tha...

Fuck him. We have already paid him what, close to 30 million?? The contract was written with both parties in mind, and he isn't holding up his end of it. Put him on waivers every 30 days (or whatever the cutoff is) and see if someone claims him. Then on one of the send downs, tell him they are 'jus...

Might offer $130k to tell the story rather than not to tell the story.

How has been pretty good? He can barely move anymore He looked fine to me. He's not a top line guy - he's on the 4th line. He's been very physical and useful - much to my surprise. Also, his skating isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Anyway, hope Neal scores more than 21 goals - then the Flames...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

Lotsa other trash on the current roster that could be jettisoned before him. As I said I’d understand if they got a centre back to play on the farm but this seems like a dumb dumb move. I didn’t say he was good but he’s better than Fatburger and he’s better than anyone in Utica by a good margin on ...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Surely Forsling can both be worthless now and have had a higher relative value than the asset he was traded for at the time (which makes it a poor trade) which is the crux of what Blob tends to argue? It then comes down to "Based upon the information he had at the time, did Benning foresee the decli...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Hockeyallsvenskan has started and in his first game for Timrå, Jonathan Dahlén had two goals and one assist as they beat Vita Hästen 4-3. Aftonbladet commented that he returned home after having had troubles adjusting to the North American game and not least coaching style. I still think the Canuck...

Here's one from the 'micky falling off the roof' category Erikson, sutter tanev for laine? Use tanev as the bait for erikson, and given their desperation, laine (or other good talent) works be a decent return. Sutter for giggles, but also to take the sting out of it for the peg. :drink: Of course I ...
