Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Higgins is a third-liner. That's where he excels: checking and along the boards. He doesn't have the hands, the dishing ability or the shot to cut it up there and he's not getting any younger. If Higgins is on your second line and you're healthy you're a pretty shallow team up front. I like Hansen ...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

The reality is they are first round fodder until the prove otherwise. Even if they win a round by some fluke theyre toast in round two... And I don't mind saying it at all.... Looks like they will face Boston or maybe MTL, it'll be interesting to see how well they play against the Bruins. (or not.....

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

If the leaves get more points than the Canucks they will have proven they are the better team.. They play a lot tougher schedule in a much tougher division.. Do I think either team is a contender ? NO.. The Canucks just don't have the " fire in the belly" and the leaves don't have the talent.. The ...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

Hockey Widow said: I love Iginla and even more so after Linden's last game and he lead the Flames back on the ice to shake Trevor's hand. I thought that was pure class. I would love to see what Iginla could do playing the right side with the twins. I think he would be dynamite and I also think he wo...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

Al Jolson has refused to play two way hockey for years. LOL .. We put him on a line with Kes and Burrows and never have to worry about defensive play.. Of course your arguement might describe the Sedins too? They suck defensively.. Bigger and Younger??? ok so we don't trade away Booth and Ballard j...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

hmm gotta agree that Iginla isn't a good long term deal if we have to deal or let go of good young players but if this years edition of the Canucks wants any chance of a Stanley this year.. it makes a hell of a lot of sense.. I for one am tired of the " Wait till next year" refrain .. 1) We suck on ...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

I wear a freaking cage when I play. I don't care if people think I look like a kid. Real teeth are awesome. hmm .. ok .. I played in the 50's and 60's when no one wore protective face gear. I still have my own teeth ( Got receipts to prove they are mine ) I guess in the 50's and 60's nobody g...
