doin' some reading around the interweb... How about Ken Holland? There's buzz that Steve Yzerman is ready to take over as GM, meaning Holland would be the odd guy out. This would be the absolute best case scenario I think, to have Holland take over as GM with Tamby and Linden along for the ride. Any...

tsn has added more to their article, including a quote from Aqualini saying it was unacceptable that we weren't in the playoffs. While as a fan I agree, doesn't this turn us (and our next gm) into the leaves? Always making the quick fix trades and short sighted moves, and a gm making moves to surviv...

whoa... um. why? what does this do to Brunstrum? How does this affect anything we do this summer? Why do without another GM in hand? Are we promoting Tambelini? Can you really fire a GM after one bad year when he hasn't really done anything overly stupid? Especially with no one else lined up? I want...

I would have a really hard time being a vocal canucks fan if we were to sign avery. this was the dumbest, least sportmanlike thing I've seen in a long time. It's even less respectful in my mind than some of the downie and tootoo hits. There's a certain level of emotion getting carried away with thos...

I would absolutely LOVE jeff carter, but I don't want to assume too much. However, he's a natural centre and he's buried right now in where he needs to play on the wing to get top 6 minutes. I've seen or heard a few people mention Afinogenov, but stats wise he's really on been a 20-50-70 guy MAX. Ev...

Im terrified of the Russians right now. For every Ovie and Gino, there's a Koltsov and Chubarov. If we're picking that high, you would want the sure thing, no? EDIT: serves me right for not reading the link first. Fluent in English and wants to come over to NA. Fair enough... maybe. But still, Stamk...

noticed this over at CDC. Normally a bunch of junk there, but I thought this had some merit, via alpal06: To Atlanta: Taylor Pyatt Luc Bourdon 1st Round Pick (10th Overall) To Vancouver: 1st Round Pick (3rd Overall) Brett Sterling Atlanta gets some MUCH needed depth up front with a big Taylor Pyatt,...

Farhan, not that they would ever trade with us again, but if i'm looking to recreate something similar to the WCE, why not go after somebody like Nathan Horton as opposed to Bertuzzi? Similar style and size, 10 years younger. Pipe dream I know, but so is Bert I think.

Feaster may have wanted offense immediately after the trade, but Halpern and Jokinen did surprisingly well during the tail end of the season, and provided some balance in the lines for Tampa (Halpern especially). Outside of Boyle and Ranger, things fall off fast for Tampa's D, and (admittedly withou...

anybody make a trade? What could you offer Tampa for that #1 pick? Tampa's issue is not scoring - would they be willing to part with the #1 (ie, Stamkos) for the 10th + ________. Would you as GM do this? Would Stamkos be enough to help make a difference next year? As I'm thinking about it, maybe #10...

boy... I didn't think watching Linden go out like that would be so hard... then I realized he's been a canuck since I've been old enough to understand what a hockey game is and stay up late enough to watch one. bummer of a night for all hockey fans. he's a classy guy...
