Oh c'mon, it's gotta be Tiger !!! Who else has ever led the team in both penalty minutes and goals in a single season? Besides, Williams was a hillarious guy to go out drinking with. (When I lived in Toronto in the late 80s, one of the local bars I used to frequent would put on "An Evening with Mr. ...

Okay Mr. Keenan. It's obvious you've completely lost touch with all reality. Be a nice GM, put down the phone slowly and let us slip your arms into the straight jacket.

Yes. Yes. I'm sure you've always relied on the kindness of strangers . . . ;)

If I'm Nonis, I actually would take Mo over Forsberg any day of the week. The reason? Forsberg's just two damned brittle. Sign him and you can't afford Morrison. Then during one of Forsberg's annual lengthy injuries (or wimpy fits when he simply decides to go home for a couple months, because he mis...

i really think that its foolish to give the leader of the winning side a bonus because both have dragged this crap out way too long and deserve the axe Actually, Harley Hotchkiss recently told the press that Bettman doesn't have a CBA-related bonus in his contract. The League tried to give him one,...

Ya gotta give kudos to the Giants' goaltender, Schwartz. Other than that one time when he was undressed by an exceptionally patient Bergeron, he played one heckofagame. Certainly the best goaltending we've seen so far in the tournament. He had our Junior squad (especially Crosby) shaking their heads...

An injury update on Seabrook.

It also confirms that I wasn't hallucinating, and that really was Ryan Getzlaf playing defence during the third period after Seabrook went down.

Oh Great! Now Cam Barker is out for the rest of the tourney with mononucleosis. That'll teach him to kiss those damned North Dakotan girls.

Let's hope Seabrook's shoul . . . er . . . upper body injury improves with the two days off.

Actually, Getzlaf played a couple of shifts in place of Seabrook.

In a hillarious post-game interview, Sutter conceded that Seabrook had reinjured "his shoul . . . I mean it's an upper body injury".

A thrashing it is!

Nice to see Carter and Perry potting some goals and Richards healthy (as usual he was lethal on the penalty kill).

Hopefully the bye into the semi-finals will let a couple of our defencemen get healthy - although I didn't think Getzlaf looked that out-of-place on the blue line.

It depends a lot on the Sweden/Finland results. If Sweden wins, you'd expect the Canadians would take it easy against the Finns, rest their top guys and just try to avoid injuries.

But, then again, as this is a Sutter coached team . . . Ah hell, I vote thrashing! ;)

I took my kid's entire soccer team to the Incredibles on Saturday as a reward for a big win (Yep, your truly is the coach - and I'm encouraging these tykes on to ever greater athletic performance by good old-fashioned bribery. I admit it, I'm just as shallow as Glen Sather . . .) and it was a typica...

Colin Campbell: WAITASECOND, GARY!!! We have a major, major development here that could save the season!!! Gary Bettman: What??? You've solved the labour dispute??? Colin Campbell: Yes. And all we have to agree to is to change the NHL logo to a picture of Bob Goodenow's butt . . . Gary Bettman: Hmmn...
