Well, that clears it up, thanks. As for whether we have cap room at some point the truth is that unless you are MG or Gillman you probably don't know, I know I have no idea how much cap room we have and when we have it. I think if MG says they can get him into the line up when he is ready we will ha...

.... mind you post-trade-deadline an NHL roster can have as many players as they like (no more 23 man limit) so no need to send someone down to make room for Ballard (I forgot about that in a post I put up a coupla weeks ago). So as soon as there is cap space available Ballard can return to the lin...

I wonder if Ballard can be sent down for conditioning when he is ready like we did with Salo. I think I remember reading somewhere that the AHL clear-day rosters have been set and players can't go down for conditioning stints anymore... This. Pretty sure not one single Canuck can be sent down again...

At any rate I think both Ballard and Dank will be ready game one. Is this, specifically Dank, supposition or something you have heard? Nothing concrete yet, just my supposition based upon very sketchy details. I keep hearing things like it's only his first, he has no real symptoms to speak of. But ...

Ballard back for the playoffs? - more depth (if he gets used). The Canucks have the luxury of being able to allow Ballard more time to recover. If they were short on D and were fighting for their playoff lives we might see him a bit sooner. There are cap issues with reactivating him. We can make ro...

Th thing with MAG is he has a wicked pass. Harder than some guys shots. You have to be ready for his pass because it will be slamming hard and usually on the money. Defensively he is improving his game. He is still a butt ugly skater but he has butt ugly speed too. Gassian was a little better out th...

Ya see Donny, it isn't my fault, I was born that way!

But he holds the cards as he has to waive his NTC for anything to go down and I doubt the Canucks will actively try to push him out the door. So if it is a mutually beneficial deal it will get done. If he has the cup he may be more inclined to open up the teams he is willing to go to. If not then h...

Ya, and they started this shit about the Canucks being divers and whiners
. They would rather watch the Canucks lose than the Flames win. Pretty smug young'uns.

Rypien, Cowan, Green, Rome, anyone else?
Johnson, the original shut down 3rd line centre. Glass game 7 of the SCF. Luongo on a bad night instead of, well, anyone. Hordichuck.

Sulzer is another one that AV never trusted for some reason. The few chances I got to see him play I thought he was better than both Alberts and Rome but he doesn't have that "tough" streak AV likes in D men. As for MAGS, I would be surprised if he sees the playoffs unless there are injuries. He is...

Gassian needs a lot of work. Ya OK I like what he POTENTIALLY can bring but he is a long way from establishing himself IMHO. He just looks so lost out there. The Canucks need to put him on a very stringent training plan in the off season and he needs camp next year to get on the same page as the res...
