Trading for a top 6 fwd seems unlikely at this time, but in a few months, the priorities of struggling/injured teams will change. This may provide MG with opportunities.Southern_Canuck wrote:Have we completely given up hope for a trade for a Top 6 Power Forward?
I haven't.

Re: The Power Forward
John Scott might be available. He's big, tough, and has playoff experience. He doesn't skate so well, but was instrumental in the Canucks defeat of the Hawks. They might be glad to get rid of him.

When the Moose transform into Ice Dogs, and move to a time zone 4.5 hours out of synch (to Van) things might get awkward.dexter_r wrote:That will be sweet!

Re: Roberto Luongo regrets comments
Is it me or does it seem rather hypocritical to in one breath say that the media coverage during the final was one-sided, biased, ignorant and down right insulting to the intelligence of all who watched and then hang Roberto out to dry for the comments he made? As I remember it, what he said about ...

Luongo's comments after game 5 gave me a flashback to an old nightmare.

Re: Shea Weber 1yr 7.5m from arbitration
The New York Post obtained the decision from Shea Weber’s arbitration hearing ($7.5 million haul). According to the decision, Nashville used Keith Yandle and Dustin Byfuglien as comparables. The laughs must have started an instant after arbitrator Michel Picher looked at the shorthanded ice time pe...

Re: Roberto Luongo regrets comments
It was a dumb statement by Luongo (following game 5). That much was obvious as soon as it left his mouth. He has been distracted from focus on his game responsibilities before, and this statement was an immediate cause for concern. It was dissappointing that Canuck management did not ensure that Luo...

Re: What would a buy of of Luongo Salary cost the Canucks
To me Luongo is a classic case of being a great goalie but falls short in the big game. It's happened too often for it to be a non issue. Hey maybe the Sedins have a bit of that in their game to. Kesler is the opposite The games remembered best are the ones ending the season. Since we haven't won t...
