Kassian injured in a single vehicle crash overnight (about 230 AM). Apparently his truck was being driven by a 20 year old girl. He also had an 18 year old in the vehicle.

2nd round picks have about a 30% chance to play 100 NHL games. Getting guys like Baertschi have a higher than 30% chance. They probably have lower upside then some 2nd round picks but they are safe.

Benning really loves this guy. I dont mind this trade. Much like the Vey and Clendening deals he is adding to our missing 20-26 age group. Look at Utica. Our top scorers are 26,27,25,26. We need more push from below. Not sure if he will ever be a top 6 but its worth it to take a look. Only drawback ...

They wont trade him just for picks. Benning has said he wants to make a hockey trade not dump his 2nd highest scorer for picks.

They are sitting in 2nd place and would have home ice in a first round series against Calgary. Thats a dream match up for us. Not saying we win but ....I'd take it.

1 more point will Give Henrik 900 for his career. It will also move him into the top 100 of all time.
