Re: The Rebuild...
Based on what Jim is saying he wants a veteran centre playing with EP to help him on d side of puck. Whoever plays with EP should have an uptick in points, if its Sutter mission accomplished to unload him at trade deadline for a pick. I’m all for slow cooking our prospects this year to ensure a high...

Re: Canucks 2018 Draft Review
I've heard the Canucks Army guy on the radio a bunch, and I was really impressed at the depth of his research heading into the draft. Here's his take on Hughes .Here's my favourite excerpt: Some people might look at Hughes’ small stature and reputation as a dynamic offensive player and assume he ha...

Re: What grade do you give JB for the 2018 draft
I picked A, he did not go crazy in his first couple of picks but would of preferred a bigger d man. Hughes is a consensus pick and no one said JB should of picked someone else. JB lucked out getting JH at 7 most polls had him like Sportsnet at 4. This pick alone he gets a A from me. It addresses a ...

Re: 2018 NHL DRAFT - Who does JB take.
Woo is a really good pick - as Dude mentioned he is a great hitter that knows when to gap up and lay devestating hits. He has offense was drafted near the top of WHL draft. Heading into this year people had him as high as top 20 pick. He slipped a bit - this Pick has potential for good value. We nee...

Re: 2018 NHL DRAFT - Who does JB take.
I think a lot of people didn’t vote for Hughes because they didn’t think he’d be available. Yes I think most thought Hughes would be gone and you could see the surprise at the Canucks table when Hayton got picked they got the d man they ranked 2nd overall at the 7th hole - SHOCKING. It’s official t...

Re: 2018 NHL DRAFT - Who does JB take.
Since everyone is revealing who they picked; May as well do the same. I went with Bouchard. My second choice of course, would be Dobson. Just like Mëds said; Points from the backend, WOW, great concept. We could boldly go where, well, somewhere we haven't in a long spell. No clue what the hype abou...

Hughes Bros are cocky but they back it up, most stuff I’m hearing is that Hughes is a great interview - kids hockey smart.

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft
If the Canucks pick OW, BT, QH, AB there will be a lot of press and excitement over their potential but If they get Dobs or Bouchard I don’t think they will it will be same hype - but maybe best way to go.

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft
Bob McKenzie's take on the NHL draft, Kotkaniemi, & uncertainty of draft order. So according to them... 1. Dahlin 2. Svechnikov 3. Tkachuk 4. Zadina 5. Kotkaniemi 6. Dobson 7. Bouchard 8. Hughes 9. Wahlstrom 10. Boqvist But I see it going more like this... 1. Buffalo – Dahlin 2. Carolina – Svechnik...

Re: 2018 NHL DRAFT - Who does JB take.
I am hoping for Boqvist, but the last few years have shown that JB and i seldom see things the same way. For #37 I'm going to guess that ownership weighs in again and insists on Jett Woo for the marketing boost. I like Jett Woo as a player, was predicted first round for quite some time, his second ...

Dobson is your first pick, who do you think the Canucks 2nd pick will be?
