Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka
No problem, Calgary. After tonight's loss to Nashville, Calgary has 41 points in 40 games - so according to Sports Club Stats , which shows that the Western Conference is currently trending to 93 points to make the playoffs, Calgary only needs to go 26-16-0 to make it. Oh, and hope that 4 of Phoenix...

Remember The Mattress Line?
Two twins and a King? I just noticed that 7th round 2001 draft pick Jason King is back playing in North America with the St. John's IceCaps on an AHL contract. Jason King With his 63 goals in his final year of junior hockey with Halifax, I thought he had a good chance of panning out as an NHLer... b...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka
Moss was a 2001 7th round pick. However, according to hockeydb.com, he's the only one (Calgary drafted player on their roster) , everyone else who has played a game this year was acquired through trade or free agency. Re: Eye Reedz
"Into Thin Air" and "The Climb" sound interesting, I'll have to check them out, thanks. You won't be able to put "Into Thin Air" down - most people I know read that book in 2-3 days, and then re-read it. Krakauer also wrote "Into the Wild" which is pretty spellbinding as well. Another fascinating m...

Re: Eye Reedz
Has anyone read "The Devil in the White City"? - Holy! It's a fascinating book based around Chicago's 1893 World Fair, with the overlapping stories of Daniel Burnham, the fair's architect, and serial killer H. H. Holmes... Other older favourites: "Into Thin Air" Jon Krakauer's account of the tragic ...
