Re: Province sports looking for new blogger
I'm guessing the occupy folks all have blogs.
It's the Province folks, you are missing the point. Hell I used to have a whole list of prospective candidates.

Winking at her and asking for extra oil on our salads was the only connection between our waitress and the food on the table that we noticed.

Re: Dining in Vancouver
I've never minded Kamloops. The thing I like about the place is the industrial base, but more variety than PG or Billy's Puddle (funny, when I worked at Princeton, someone said that when Princeton grows up, it wants to be William's Lake). I fucking hate the strip mall town of Kelowna. Yes the dining...

Re: Dining in Vancouver
Spud, it wasn't a destination, it was a stop over. All I wanted was a relaxed pace to my meal, the service I received was poor for even pub standard. If you are going to charge premium prices, then you damn well better put effort into training your staff.

Re: Dining in Vancouver
On the road homeward, spent the night in motel hell on the hill in Kamloops. Rolled in from 900km in 9hrs driving, got a room and got cleaned up. Wanted a decent meal, relax with a bottle of wine and did not want to go out, so I wandered into Ric's Grill. Now Don Lever and I had discussed the inadeq...

Clam, by advocating harsher penalties to those who take liberties with star players, you are in effect also advocating lessor penalties against star players who take liberties with plugs.
While Ovechkin and Malkin say thank you, it is this sort of inconsistency that needs to be removed from the game.

Canuck0ne, I don't believe Coco or Spudly are opposed to revenge.
Time and place, it may be 24 seconds after the infraction when the red light goes on and the perpetrator does his walk of shame down the red line from the penalty box to his bench. Wasn't that the way to San Jose last spring?

From what I heard li on the radio. A few comments: Came out with piss and vinegar for a change. Not a surprise, 3rd in 4 nights, 2nd of a back to back, pushed to the end last night trying for at least point, the strategy has to e to get a lead early and then go into shut down road game mode. Howard ...
