Re: Canucks Young Guns

Grabner and McCann would be similar at the time, 1st rounders that were young and still developing If rumors were true, McCann was shipped out because of his attitude. In that case, it was more like an addition by subtraction. Grabner did not have the same issue. I would argue that they are not sim...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Loui turns 34 a day before Benn turns 30. Let’s see how Benn’s 10 million per year looks in 3-4 years. He’s not trending well. If I was Dallas I’d move that future boat anchor contract out now otherwise they are looking at a Seabrook, Ladd, Alzner situation in a couple years. Washed up BC hockey pl...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Bizarre with what’s going on with Gadjovich. Probably something to do with his skating. That and his game was predicated on throwing kids around with his man-child build - something he can’t pull off against other men. He will take time to marinate, put I still hold out some faith he’ll turn out. P...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Surprised Thomas, Fabbri, Parayko, Kyrou would be available. They’ve made stupid trades - the O’Reilly acquisition was dumbass. It’s obvious that ROR is a disruption, where ever he goes his team’s suck. He’s not a glue guy. They need a retool, Tarasenko, ROR, Bouwmeester and Schwartz is who they sh...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Not sure if this has been posted but, Petrus Palmu is going back to Finlandia. Came up just a bit short of success in his first year of the NA pro game. Is it kind of similar to Dahlen's situation last season? The priority is to get Palmu more icetime. Going back to Finland might be better option t...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

0 goals 0 assists in 4 games, minus 5, and now on IR 7-10 days with UBI. Are you picking Nolan Patrick over Elias Pettersson? Olaf has 1 assist and is -6 in the AHL. Are you still picking him 5Th overall in 2016? Are you really comparing points between a forward and defenseman? Nope... but are you ...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Hansen was a decent 3/4 line player. Good on the PK. And has speed. SJS was the biggest mistake of his career. Bet he’d like a do over and go to Montreal. Rumours were he was asked by Benning and said no. I’m surprised he couldn’t get a one year deal somewhere. Hansen provided what the Canucks were...

Hank wrote: Thu Jul 05, 2018 6:54 pm Oh yeah, Palmu has been the best forward so far. 1 goal, 1 assist in the first period.

His sweet setup to Tyler Madden will be on the highlight reels tonight.
Madden has a pretty good shot too. I feel sorry for Hughes. He basically has nobody to pass the puck.

Anyone watching the Summer Showdown right now? ...or y'all busy whining? Kidding. Kidding. First rush by Hughes from behind his own net. So Smoove! Give and go with the forward, then a nice cross-ice feed from the right corner to the other D... just missed. Yup. He's ready! DiPietro, Palm...

Re: The Rebuild...

I don’t think it’s a strategy they considered. BPA in the draft were small, and the team was pushed around last year. When you look at the roster it is apparent the team needs grit. Teams use free agency and trades to upgrade and to fill holes, but draft for BPA. If Dorsett hadn’t been injured and ...

At least the Comets did not get swept. They have shown a lot of characters to come back and force a game 5 from 0-2 in the series.

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Green was gushing love bombs over Sautner’s play last night. Sounds like he’s everything they want Hutton to be, well at least what Green wants. Hard in his own end, hits, clears the puck, makes good passes, skates well, plays with an edge, good and strong along the boards, good coverage. Does this ...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

BOOM - He can't beat Kents PPG, that guy spent some time in BC. - He could hit a Goalie mask placed on the net from centre ice 7/10 times - did that once in rink in B.C. Crazy talent Nilsson! I remember when we drafted Elias, most people were like WTF, We want Glass!!! It a nice accomplishment and ...
