I wonder if the Nonis will sign this guy? Seemed like Coulombe had a strong game with a goal and an assist. Anybody watch the game? How did he look? With Bourdon's play in the pre-season, it really seems like we lack serious depth on the blueline. I know Koltsov is in Russia, but man- I would have l...

I like the stockpile of picks for the years draft. This year has been touted as a strong one and I'm hoping the Canucks draft some more quailty fowards. It will be intresting to see how Cloutier does in LA- with his new mask and all. I like the guy, but I'm betting on a knee injury at some point dur...

Snow is nothing more than a puppet and the point of contact for the Isles GM by committee. In the end Wang is making all the decisions. Just what a hockey team needs...a non-hockey guy having the final say in personnel decisions. It's why Smith was fired. He had the audacity to be an actual GM. Smi...

"Mad" Garth signs DiPietro!
Wow just when you thought the madness in Long Island had quieted down- BAM, new GM Garth Snow gives DiPietro a 15, yes 15 year contract. Ummm, Alexi Yashin ring a bell? He still hasn't done anything to warrant Mad Mike for dealing away Loungo to draft him when they could have had Heatley or Gaborik....

Good god, imagine that. I know, I know, we just got over the Beruzzi black cloud, but just imagine.... we trade Auld Allen and Bert for Luongo, sign him long term, then the following year both Bert and Allen come back....!!! not that we could afford it or anything, but..... dear god, the WCE WITH L...

Yea nice lock up by Nonis, 3 years and at a bargain rate, I can definitely seem him as a solid 3rd-4th line player in the years to come. I remember catching the prospects game at UBC and he didn't look spectacular out there, but he is the type of energy guy every team needs- especially with Ruutu go...

Just shows you that Chicago remains one of the most poorly run organizations in the NHL. That and Bostom...it's sad to see two orginal six teams getting run into the ground buy poor management and Monty Burns type owners. They were just saying how Chicago couldn't lure any free agents- so they have ...

Re: NHL Schedule
Anybody know when the schedule is coming out? I'm moving away to Pakistan next Tuesday ( ), and I won't have internet access for at least a week or two, so I want to print the schedule off the computer. Also, I don't know if I can watch as many canucks games over there, so anybody know a webs...

I gotta go the other way...well sort of. With a new coach I think the Canucks will keep Cloutier and Auld to start the season. With the shortage of quailty goaltenders in the NHL- everyone seems to be seeking depth in goal, my prediction is if Cloutier isn't dealt during the draft, then the Canucks ...

The Sun had a good article today about the 3 WHL coaches and how they aren't clamoring. to get to the NHL. So it looks like Hay, Constatine and Sutter won't be the Canuck's new bench boss- at least that is the impression they are giving. http://www.canada.com/vancouversun/news/sports/story.html?id=a...

So the Axe comes down on Crawford. Here is the decisive move everyone was asking Nonis for- and he has delivered. The one consensus is almost no one wants Quinn as our coach. It really does seem like Andy Murray is the front runner. He's got my pick for sure. We could get Constantine, Hay, Nolan or ...

Carter will resign if the Canucks give him a deal similar to the Sedins and maybe just a tad lower. I would like them to lock up the "Brothas" line longterm. I agree that Carter has played his best hockey the past few years and fits perfectly as a linemate for the Sedins. The twins have always had t...
