Hopefully this means there is an on ice answer to a Petey attack and that answer isn’t Boeser!
It'll certainly be enough to instigate an attack on Petey....

Island Nucklehead, your thoughts?
Tough to show up if you're not even invited to the rink.

https://www.tsn.ca/vancouver-canucks-sign-forward-micheal-ferland-to-four-year-14-million-deal-1.1335610 Good job Jim Yep it's a nice signing at those numbers - again a year too long but that's to be expected in FA. At least Bo has a winger to play with and the team should be better with Ferland in...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

Other teams looking to poach our scouts now. Canucks lose three from amateur scouting staff Jim Benning looking to restructure Canucks' amateur scouting department Despite earning plaudits for the work of their scouts in recent drafts, Vancouver Canucks management is nonetheless making changes to t...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 19-20 Sponsored by SKYO

If we could somehow clear Eriksson' 3 yr contract, that would really help alleviate the Luongo 3 yr recapture. (yes obvious, just sayin eheh) Eriksson + Woo might do it. Maybe Eriksson + Demko. They might have to throw another 2nd in with each of those guys. I think they might be better off to cut ...

Re: How did Jimmy do

I was actually worried Benn was going to get $3M per. $2M isn't bad, although I'm not sure how $2M for Benn is much better than $700K for Schenn..... There are a few here who think Benn is a special player cause of his last name. This is exceptionally rich coming from the guy who defends the player...

Re: How did Jimmy do

Gave him a B+. He didn't bend over for Myers, but I don't think we'll enjoy that contract in a couple years. The Benn deal is solid. Apparently Bergevin offered him the same deal in April; Benn wanted to come home. An upgrade over Hutton. The goalies should be happy. No Eriksson-level stupidity here...

Re: 2019 offseason

Hard not to like what Benning did today. I do wonder if the revised (lower) salary cap put a drag on some of the deals.

Happy we didn’t go 7x7 for Myers.

Thrilled we picked up Jordie Benn.

Aho just got an offer sheet. Details to come/1st one today. came from Monreal, Carolina will match, I think.
waiting on the number but it's big.
Around $8.5M per. Carolina would get a 1st, 2nd and a 3rd I’d they decline. Lots of signing bonus money that Carolina may find tough to swallow.

Re: 2019 offseason

Very pumped to see Jordie Benn in a Canucks jersey. He’s a team-first guy and an even better human being. He’ll take that bottom-pairing role vacated by Hutton, and he can actually defend.

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

It's beyond my comprehension that Brock, via his agent, have been trying for ridiculous numbers like 7.8 or 8 for 4 years. Why is that unreasonable? Skinner, who Doc pointed out has been a goal scoring machine, signed for $9M. But he's never produced more than 63 points in a season. (potential) Bid...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

Yeah there is no reason to stress, at all, about Boeser. The player has zero leverage. He's not eligible for arbitration, or an offer sheet. He either plays with Vancouver, or he doesn't play. A deal will get done. I'm gonna say closer to early/mid-August.
